Why Choose a Halls Magnum Greenhouse?
Halls Magnum greenhouses would be your first range to explore if you have previously owned a smaller, 6ft wide greenhouse and you are looking for more room to expand your greenhouse growing hobby or if you have a little more space they are a great entry level greenhouse for someone who is already a keen gardener. There is also a full range of affordable Halls accessories to choose from to compliment your Magnum greenhouse and make growing a lot more rewarding and fun. I also hope you have plenty of good friends and neighbours as you can grow a lot of produce or flowers, so prepare to become popular too!
The Halls Magnum greenhouse instructions mean that assembling these greenhouses is a DIY job, but having a spare pair of hands when it comes to glazing always makes the assembly a lot easier. The door section is perhaps the most engaging and there are quite a few components and they all need bolting together. This section is more time consuming than difficult in reality.
The Magnum 10x8 is the most popular size as it gives you the 8ft width that seems, and is, a real luxury when you step inside along with double doors and a full 10ft length that allows ample room for most gardeners.
The 12ft x 8ft Magnum greenhouse, though only 2ft longer actually delivers an additional 20% extra growing space and it certainly isn’t 20% more expensive making it great value if you have the spare room to accommodate it.
If I were writing a Halls Magnum greenhouse review then the 14x8 version would be the model to select. It is the best value for money of the three sizes on offer and it gives you a tremendous amount of space to escape in to during those long hot summer days. You pay no more for your accessories, although you may need a few more but, as is often quoted, the price is quickly forgotten whilst the size and quality endure.
As the Halls Magnum greenhouses contain a lot of glass, and the largest model comes complete with 4 opening roof vents I would suggest that you buy at least 2 auto vents, which are the automatic openers for roof vents. Circulation of air is always paramount in a greenhouse so getting these vents open early in the day when the sun’s temperature rises and getting them closed at night as it drops can become a chore, which the autovents dispense of for you. Staging and shelving are always needed whilst the addition of a louvre window allows cool air to enter at the base of the greenhouse which pushes the warmer air out through your open roof vents. Leaving the door open means that cats and other animals will be making a bee line for your produce, so this is not to be encouraged.
And don’t forget the 15-year Manufacturers guarantee on that frame for additional peace of mind.
