Description
The wonderful Elite Thyme 8 8ft x 20ft Greenhouse is the largest in the range, strong, full of choices and with a particularly attractive appearance whether it has a dwarf wall or is freestanding.
Extensive bracing guarantees that the structure is as rigid as possible, and the frame which comes with an integral base is resistant to both rot and rust. Further protection can be provided by powder coating in one of nine colours, this will also add to the greenhouse's impact on its surroundings.
The structure's thoughtful and innovative design includes a low threshold together with sliding double doors. This means that less able gardeners will have no problem in entering the greenhouse where they'll discover a superb space for cultivating a very impressive amount and variety of plants
Glazing is naturally an important consideration. As standard toughened glass is supplied, this has very good light transmission but you may prefer the insulating qualities of polycarbonate that also disperses light more evenly within the greenhouse. Coloured bar capping can be added to seal and fix the glazing securely.
With such a large area of glazing, ventilation must be very effective to limit temperature and humidity. Six roof vents and two louvre windows achieve this very efficiently by circulating air throughout the interior. Even more can be put in place together with automatic openers that will prove their worth when you are unable to open them manually.
In addition to all these choices, there are many accessories that help to recycle rainwater, provide heating over colder months, or augment the included diamond shelf with other staging and shelving. And to add a final flourish, you can decorate the roof with finials and cresting.

We offer two different types of glazing: 3mm single sheet Toughened Glass or 6mm Polycarbonate Glazing.

Toughened to British Standard Class 6206 Grade A and European Standard EN12150 for maximum light and extra safety. All toughened glass models in this range utilise full sheet glass in the roof and side walls. This makes for a much cleaner line with no build up of moss or algae where the sheets of glass would normally overlap.
with 6mm Polycarbonate Glazing
As well as the safety element it is a superb insulator, with the air trapped between the inner and outer skin acting as a mini double glazing unit. This will reduce winter heating costs. To aid growing polycarbonate defracts the sun's rays twice as it passes through the twinwall. This effect disperses the light far more evenly around the greenhouse. Supplied in a full sheet format and offers a more opaque appearance.
Option 3 > Bar Capping?
Bar capping is a continuous strip glazing system used instead of glazing clips, this gives a far neater streamlined appearance and helps to stop rainwater seeping through the glass seams. It's made from PVC and is UV treated for long term weatherproofing.

Elite's super strength slatted Aluminium or Power-Coated staging can be fitted to any Elite greenhouse through the use of cantilever bracing, which is attached directly onto the greenhouse framework with no visible legs, also keeping clear valuable workspace underneath.

By adding a shelf or two to your greenhouse, you'll have added workspace areas to store small tools, pots and seedlings. Each set of shelves comes complete with the necessary braces to install them to your Elite greenhouse frame.
Shelving can be installed on both sides of your greenhouse.
Each shelf can be adjusted to any height you require and fit your greenhouse framework with the included diagonal braces.

Elite's aluminium hybrid panels come as a complete set to replace the section of glazing at the bottom of your greenhouse, offering an extremely strong, virtually unbreakable on-impact durability which is great to protect your greenhouse from being hit or knocked with the lawnmower, stones and pets.
If you have chosen standard silver aluminium for your greenhouse frame, then you will need to choose a powder-coated colour for your hybrid frames (hybrid panels are not available in plain silver). Colours available are:
Green, White, Black, Graphite, Brown, Berry, Olive, Stone, Mocha or Navy.
Please let us know your colour choice in the Notes section during checkout.
If you have chosen a powder-coated colour for your greenhouse frame, then the hybrid panels will be colour matched to that colour unless otherwise stated.

with Electric Palma 2KW Heater
A 2KW Electrical floor-standing heater that is ideal for smaller greenhouse where space is limited.
Using the separate digital thermostat you can set temperatures in the range of -50°C to + 99°C with an unrivalled output of 2000 W and air circulation rate of 400 m3/h. This ensures that your greenhouse is always maintained at the right level.

Ideal as a frost heater in larger greenhouses or for more
concentrated use in a greenhouse up to 5 square metres, the
Super Warm 5 boasts a 4.5 litre capacity fuel tank which will

Each standard kit includes two downpipes (with stopper for the opposite end), offering one downpipe for each left and right side of the greenhouse. This allows rainwater to flow out of the two downpipes, and optionally be stored into two water butts (sold separately).
Purchasing two kits will give you four downpipes, one for each corner of your greenhouse, allowing rainwater to be optionally stored into four water butts (sold separately).
with Rainwater Kit to One Gutter Kit
An easy way to combine the integral gutters on your greenhouse roof to a single outlet.
This kit includes pipework that goes along the back of your greenhouse, connecting both sides of the integral roof guttering, then flowing out of one single downpipe.
This means that you will only need one water butt.
You do not require the standard rainwater kit if you opt for this version.

Bespoke Product Procedure
This product range is made to order on an order-by-order basis, therefore is exempt from our usual cancellation and returns policy. Any cancellations after your order has started production may not be able to be cancelled or may be subject to cancellation charges. Although a very rare occurrence, this does not affect any orders that arrive damaged or faulty, whereby our normal terms on receiving a faulty product will apply.
Vehicles We Use
Items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places it's typically a Class II, 15 tonne, 11’4” high, 30’ long and 8’6” wide lorry. This may depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.
Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable. Goods can only be manoeuvred on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions the driver will split the package to assist with manoeuvring of the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery.
