Agnes Asked:
What product should be used to 'paint' the Dorset Storage Garden Arbour?
We Replied:
Dear Agnes
Thank you for your question.
We suggest either a Ronseal or Cuprinol exterior wood paint. The arbour however does not need a preservative as it is already pressure treated.

Al Asked:
Is it necessary to anchor the arbour into the ground?
We Replied:
Dear Alan
Thank you for your question.
It is not necessary to anchor the arbour into the ground as it is stable enough to stand alone. It will only possibly fall over in very high winds. I suggest sinking the feet into the ground a few inches if you have an open garden which suffers from high winds.

Sam Asked:
How is the storage box accessed, from the top by lifting the seat up or does it pull out?
We Replied:
Dear Sam
Thank you for your question.
The storage box is accessed from the top by lifting the seat up as you suggest. It is hinged at the rear. I hope this helps.

Sharon O'Donoghue Asked:
Do I need to make a proper base for the Dorset Arbour or can I put it onto the ground and then plant around it?
We Replied:
Hi Sharon
Thank you for your question.
The Dorset is quite heavy and needs the support of a hard standing base. Soil or turf is not good enough as, when the earth gets wet in the winter, one corner will inevitably sink and buckle.

Diane Asked:
I want to have an arbour on a concrete yard. There is also a slight incline. Will this be ok to do - I think they look sturdy enough to not tip over? If not, what do you recommend?
We Replied:
Dear Diane
Thank you for your question.
We do recommend placing the arbour on a flat surface. However, if there is a slight incline, you could add more support in some way to the legs.

Linda Rose Asked:
I have the Dorset Arbour but can't find a protective cover, do you stock them?
We Replied:
Dear Linda
Thank you for your question.
Unfortunately, we do not offer a specific cover for this item. Your best option is to purchase a universal waterproof cover that will fit over the item. Alternatively you can purchase tarpaulin from a local hardware or DIY store and this should effectively do the same job as a cover.

Ian. Asked:
Are the holes pre-drilled for assembly?

Dear Ian
Thank you for your question.
This arbour does not have pre-drilled holes. A 3mm drill bit is required in order for you to drill all screw holes before construction.
