Description
Not everyone has a large garden and so the compact Globel 4ft x 8ft metal shed caters to those who have a restricted outside space but need to store various items.
The lean-to design fits neatly against a fence or wall, and conveniently the single door can be hung on either side to suit its location.
High tensile hot-dipped galvanized steel is used as cladding, and with a high-quality paint finish, the shed is guaranteed rot-free with a 10-year non-perforation warranty.
Minimal maintenance is required for the shed to retain its smart appearance, and it is deceptively strong with bracing throughout. Inside, shelving can be added as well as a timber floor.
An installation service is also offered, although self-assembly is straightforward following full instructions.

Would You Like A Floor Kit?
All Lotus Sheds are advised to be Installed on a hard standing surface base area. We offer either a metal foundation kit or a timber floor kit to aid with installation onto a stable surface. A damp proof membrane (plastic sheet material) should be placed prior to installing your shed/base to limit condensation.
Note: Only one foundation/floor kit below can be used, they are not designed to be both used together.
with Metal Foundation Kit (FK48LT)
A self-assembled framework, formed with metal battens. When installing your shed, the foundation frame is assembled first and then your shed is installed and bolted on top.
Once fully installed, concrete can be used to flood in between the interior battens to make a concrete floor inside or alternatively, timber plywood boards can be used over the top to form a wooden floor (concrete and timber not included).

A pressure impregnated wooden floor kit consists of pre-cut boards and battens which when assembled at home with the fixings purchased separately offers a durable base to install and bolt your shed down onto.

Delivery Period
Delivery will typically be made within 10 - 15 working days (2 - 3 weeks) but may be extended during busy times of the year. For larger products, the carrier will call and book in a convenient delivery date. For other products, a delivery date will be provided by email from the carrier, which will include a link to allow tracking online.
Installation Service
Our installation service is applicable to Mainland England, Wales & Southern Scotland including Glasgow and Edinburgh, but not above.
Products ordered with an installation service will first be delivered to your delivery address within the estimated timeframe stated above. Once delivery has been confirmed, the installation team shall then arrange to attend to your property in order to install the structure for you.
The current lead time for installation, following successful delivery is within 20 working days.
Note that this will lead to the product needing to be temporarily stored at your property after it has been delivered and checked over until the date the installation occurs. We recommend the product to be stored in a safe and dry place such as in a garage, shed, or similar during this interlude period.

Vehicles We Use
Items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places it's typically, a 7.5 ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.
Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable and the goods can only be manoeuvred on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions the driver will split the package to assist with manoeuvring of the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery.

8 x 4 Pent Shed
It was a very good quality product, and i found it easy to construct myself. Im 79 years old, so if I can put it up easily, anyone can. Its been up now for about 2 months and im very pleased with it.

Good product
The shed was delivered within a couple of weeks of online ordering. Delivery driver was friendly and helpful. Myself and a friend erected the shed in about 3 1/2 hours. It was fairly straightforward with good step by step instructions. All holes met up and no issues there. Bolting it to the concrete slab and siliconing the edges took another 90 mins or so. The shed looks good and appears sturdy. Appears to be a good product ut only just erected so no idea of long term waterproofing etc.

Just what I wanted
I bought this shed to fit into a narrow gap down the side of my garden office. Took me some time to put together, just like a very large mechano set, but went up without any problems. The materials have enough flex in them to make everything fit and I didn't have any problems with alignment of screws or bolts. The shed itself is quite light-weight, but that's fine for me. I just needed somewhere to store some of the larger items that were cluttering up my main shed.

Is it possible to lift this shed once built, and move into place. If so, how many people would it take to lift it?
We Replied:Dear Dan Thank you for your question. We wouldn't normally actively advise this due to health and safety reasons but, until the shed was bolted down to a secure surface, you could potentially move the shed into place if you had the room to manoeuvre it. We would suggest 4 people, one for each corner, however it could be tricky to move as the shed isn't fully stable until it is bolted down to the ground/base, so you would need to be aware of the panels wobbling and outline any health and safety risks. If you plan on buying the Metal Foundation Kit or Timber Floor Kit accessories on the product page, then it would be more easier to move the shed once it has been bolted down onto one of these frames, as it would be more stable during lifting. Does this shed have to be attached to a base or can it be freestanding as I already have paving slabs as part of the garden? How can I prevent water leaking into the shed?
We Replied:Dear Dan Thank you for your question. This shed can be installed straight onto your paving slabs as it is, then the bottom lip of the shed can be bolted onto the paving slabs to secure the shed in place. In order to prevent rain water from leaking through, you could purchase the additional Metal Foundation Kit or Timber Floor Kit which raises the shed up off the floor. Alternatively, you could use an outdoor weatherproof silicon type seal (similar to what's used in kitchens and bathrooms around sinks and baths etc) to create a tighter seal around the bottom of the shed and the paving slabs, which would in turn help to limit rain water ingress.
