Craft experts finish this piece by hand to ensure an uncanny replica that captures a real puffin's beautiful and unique features.
What's more, this puffin is made from durable resin meaning it can be permanently kept outdoors for year-round enjoyment (although we do recommend bringing it indoors during inclement weather to protect its finer detailing).
We are very grateful to Dr Lara Howe who has kindly provided some of the incredible photos on this page. Dr Howe is a Marine Conservation Officer from Manx Wildlife Trust who is currently undertaking a project to reintroduce Puffins to the Calf of Man, using these lifelike decoys to trick young birds into thinking that the Calf of Man is an active, successful breeding site.
Please note that the Puffin ornaments used in this project have been slightly modified with the addition of small sticks to help them remain upright and stable. This is not included with a standard Vivid Arts Puffin Ornament purchase.
