Description
Present in many different cultures and appearing in a multitude of works of art and literature, although her origins are unsure we are all very familiar with the modern concept of a Mermaid depicted by this Home & Garden ornament, an aquatic creature with a woman's body and fish's tail.
The Mermaid Garden Ornament is a beautiful representation of her form made from recycled aluminium with a lovely patina decorated tail and bronzed body. The scales covering the tail can be clearly seen and, as she rests on the water's edge, the mermaid's modesty is ensured by long hair flowing over her shoulders.
