'The Italian Dancer Statue is a beautiful statue and has much in common with the work of the Czech artist Alphonse Mucha which was popular in every High Street poster shop during the 1970s.

His art was known as Mucha Style initially but this eventually rolled into the better known Art Noveau style. This figure has all the grace, style and elegance of that movement. It also contains rythmn and form in abundance which is echoed in the sphere on which she stands. This itself is atop a classical finial.

From the tips of her fingers to her pointed toes she is art in motion. Her athleticsm and beauty are not lost on any of us. The statue would make a great centre piece or feature in most gardens. She is a focal point so don't hide her beauty under a bush.' Author: Robert Hall

Delivery to Scotland is inclusive up to and including Glasgow and Edinburgh but not above. Scottish Highlands (highlands as deemed by the carrier) will incur a separate delivery charge - See full delivery options on the product page.

Unfortunately, we cannot deliver to Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland or any other offshore island.

Delivery Period
All Borderstone products are made to order right here in the UK, on an order-by-order basis.

We aim to dispatch within 5 - 10 Working Days
Larger items including statues may take slightly longer as they are made to order. Timeframes may be extended during busy times of the year. For larger products, the carrier will call and book in a convenient delivery date. For other products, a delivery date will be provided by email from the carrier, which will include a link to allow tracking online.

Any cancellation of an order after your item has been crafted may incur in cancellation charges.

Vehicles We Use
Items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places it's typically, a 7.5 ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.

Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location as a "curb-side delivery" service. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable and the goods can only be manoeuvred on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions, the driver will split the package to assist with the manoeuvring of the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery.

Once the delivery has been unloaded from off the driver's van, the customer has 10 minutes in order to unwrap and check the delivery contents for any damages before signing for and accepting a successful delivery. Any damages should be reported to the driver within this time frame, as once the driver has left, any claims for damages may not be successful.

Beautiful as a focal point

We were looking for a statue as the focal point at the end of our garden and both my partner and I immediately fell in love with the Italian Dancer. Full marks for packaging which appears to have been custom-assembled around the statue, with a wooden frame and polystyrene packing giving it ample support and protection for shipping. We were concerned about moving the statue into place, particularly as it needed to go up 8 large steps. In the end we decided to remove all packaging, which was a substantial amount of the weight, and then manoeuvre the statue on a strong 2 wheel trolley. We used padding between the statue and the trolley, and strapped the statue to the trolley. With 3 of us we carefully lifted the statue up the steps and wheeled it into position. It looks absolutely beautiful.

Absolutely stunning

This statue is absolutely stunning. It is the centre piece of my newly laid out garden. Everyone has commented on it saying how lovely it is.

Dear Michelle Thank you for your question. As you say, this sculpture is quite heavy, usually we would advise that 3-4 people help carry the item. We also advise leaving it wrapped up whilst moving it in case of any damage that could occur when lifting and positioning.
