Description
Seachem Prime is a dechlorinator, chloramine remover, and ammonia detoxifier (but allowing the filter to consume the ammonia, so removing it); it also binds heavy metals, increases the fishes slime coat, helps with the removal of nitrate, all whilst being completely safe for marine use.
As Seachem Prime neutralises chlorine and chloramines, ammonia is formed as a side product, this happens with all dechlorinators. Prime has a unique benefit in that it neutralises the ammonia, but crucially, leaves it available for the tank bacteria to digest. Also present in tap water are any number of highly toxic heavy metals, which Prime detoxifies and leaves them completely safe.
1 capful (5 ml) treats 200 L of water
For smaller volumes, please note each cap thread is approximately 1 mL. May be added to aquarium directly, but better if added to new water first. If adding directly to aquarium, base dose on aquarium volume. Sulfur odor is normal.
