The watercourse is made from glass reinforced plastic which has an authentic textured and coloured finish. so that it appears as natural slate and shares that stone's characteristic durability.
If being used separately you can pierce the film covering the hosetail connection allowing the water to flow, if you are using more than one of these then you would only be required to pierce the top waterfall.
