How do you extract the impeller from an Aquamax 10000?

We Replied:

Siva Asked:

My pond pump is a Oase Aquamax Eco 4000 but it has stopped working. I cannot find any loose connections, how can I test the rotor?

We Replied:

Dear Siva Thank you for your question. The impeller can be removed and checked for water ingress or any deep grooves in the shaft. To access the impeller you will need to turn the item off and unscrew the main impeller cover. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Jeff Russon Asked:

My Aquamax RB16000 has stopped working. Motor seems ok. I removed the rotor (impeller?) and found that the plastic sleeve around the shaft has begun to split and come away. Is it possible to replace just the sleeve or do I have to replace the entire rotor? Also when I feel inside the cavity where the rotor fits the wall it's not smooth but has shallow grooves in it. Is this normal or has it become scored?

We Replied:

Dear Jeff Thank you for your question. When the sleeve around the impeller starts to crack this means water has got into the impeller, causing it to swell and creating grooves in the motor, this can lead to damage to the motor and in some cases break the pump. To answer your first question, you cannot replace just the sleeve, it will have to be a new impeller but there is no guarantee that this will fix the issue since the damage to the motor may be irreversible and a new pump required. If after you purchase a new impeller the pump does not work it can be returned for a refund providing it has only been tested once and there is no damage to the impeller after use, please see a link to the impeller below: https://www.gardensite.co.uk/Aquatics/Oase_Aquamax_Eco_400016000_Spares.htm Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Carlton Asked:

How do i remove the impeller from my Oase 16000 pump?

We Replied:

Dear Carlton Thank you for your question. There are 4 bolts shown on the diagram as part 11, these need to be removed and then the impeller cover can be removed to give access to the impeller for inspection. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Dan Everton

Clive Smith Asked:

I have an Oase Aquamax 6000 but the impeller only works when I start it by hand. I have taken it to pieces but can't get the impeller out. How do I remove impeller to replace it?

We Replied:

Dear Clive Thank you for your question. If the impeller is unable to turn under its own power this is usually due to two possible faults. Either water has ingressed into the impeller and caused it to swell locking it in place or there is a fault with the motor and it is not working correctly. If the impeller cannot be removed then it is likely that it has swollen and will require force to remove. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. gordon leicester Asked:

The power cable has been cut on my Oase Aquamax 12000, can I join the cable in the pump unit?

We Replied:

Dear Gordon Thank you for your question. The pump is a sealed unit so you cannot access it to re-wire. You may need a waterproof connection for the repair please see the link below: https://www.gardensite.co.uk/Aquatics/Oase_Waterproof_Cable_Connector.htm Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. doulas dow Asked:

My Aquamax 4000, which was bought in May 2007, has been faultless but has now decided to run for while, stop, and run, and stop. Do you know what the fault might be?

We Replied:

Dear Doulas Thank you for your question. The fault could be with the main motor, if it is starting and stopping it sounds as if the motor is overheating cooling and repeating the process. A new pump is required: https://www.gardensite.co.uk/Aquatics/Oase_Aquamax_Eco_4000_Pond_Pump.htm Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. I have an Oase Eco 6000 and the impeller seems to be slipping in its housing, the motor is running all the time but the pumping is stopping and starting due to the impeller problem, what would you recommend?

We Replied:

Dear John Thank you for your question. We would recommend that the impeller is extracted and checked for damage and swelling. If this is the case then you will need to replace the part. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Dan Everton
