The kit is ideal when restarting an existing tank to give the best possible filtration.

What the Sponges do:

• Poly pad - Filters out fine silt like dirt to polish the water to a crystal clear finish
• Carbon - Takes out any inpurities in the water and also aids the clarity of tank water
• Nitrax - Designed to greatly reduce levels of nitrate within the aquarium
• Course sponge - Catches Large particles of debris
• Cirax - Biological filter media to maintain high water quality
• Fine Sponge - Catches Fine particles of debris
