Following on from the main Covid-19 timespan, where businesses across the UK and the world where majorly affected, especially when it came to products, stock and deliveries, we'd like to give you peace of mind that here at GardenSite everything is back to normal and we're still offering and delivering our extensive product range, straight to your door, helping you to get back with enjoying your garden, the fresh air and the great outdoors.
Product and Delivery Live Updates
These are our suppliers, brands or ranges currently affected by issues that may affect your order or delivery time frame.
Please also note that the bank holidays may affect these time frames further with the shut down of crafters and delivery carriers over these periods, unfortunately, this is out of our control.
Update: Sunday 1st January 2023
No suppliers or deliveries are still affected by the past covid-19 outbreak, and we are back up and running 100% with our stock and shipment services.
The below information is now out of date, but kept for archival purposes only.
We advise all our customers to check the list above of affected suppliers/brands or see the delivery information tab on specific product pages for up-to-date delivery information that may affect your order. If the supplier that concerns you is not listed here you can presume the lead times and delivery information on that individual product page is correct. If you are looking to place an order with us that is needed in time for Christmas, please see our Christmas section below.
Contacting Us & Phone Lines
Update: Sunday 1st January 2023
Our customer service team and services are now 100% operational, and we are back to fully serving and servicing our customers with any queries by phone or email.
The below information is now out of date, but kept for archival purposes only.
We are experiencing an extremely high level of calls during this time and are doing our best to keep our phone lines open and staffed during the majority of the day (10am - 4pm). However, our phone line system will automatically close if we have a high-level queue time as we do not wish for our customers to be stuck on hold for long periods of time.
RECOMMENDED CONTACT METHOD - In all instances we recommend customers to contact us via email at [email protected]
- Please ensure to include all relevant details in your email, including your order number and delivery address.
Please rest assured that we are doing our best to deal with existing orders and deliveries in the system and respond to emails, Q&A's and to return calls, but please note that sometimes we have to speak to third party manufacturers, suppliers or carriers in order to provide a response for you, and these third parties are also experiencing longer delays during this time. We thank you for your patience during this extended contact period.
Christmas Deliveries
We understand that many customers are hoping that their purchase(s) arrive before Christmas, to gift or surprise a friend or family member. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee delivery before Christmas for any range, supplier or brand where the delivery lead time is near or exceeds the time between your order date the Christmas holiday period.
Please also be aware that many suppliers, delivery carriers and production warehouses close down over the Christmas period (all suppliers differ), which may result in no deliveries and/or product crafting being completed during the second half of December and up until after the new year. This is unfortunately out of our control, but a common occurrence during the holiday season.
We ask that if you're purchasing a product from us as an important gift or present for Christmas, please refer to the stated deliver timeframes on the product page and order as soon as possible, or if the delivery an item in time for Christmas is vital, please contact us first to ensure that delivery can be completed in time.
Safety Is Our Priority
We have a robust process to look after your well-being during delivery and installation. Our drivers' vans are equipped with hand sanitiser where possible and anti-bacterial wipes, so we're maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness. Drivers are also following NHS advice to wash their hands regularly and taking extra measures to keep a safe distance between themselves and the customer when making deliveries or coming into close contact.
Some suppliers or delivery partners will require additional information / instructions prior to delivery, such as a safe place to deliver an item to, rather than handing it straight to you at the door. Any information concerning your nominated safe place can be added to the comments box during checkout, we will pass these details to the designated courier/delivery team who will then do their best to leave the goods in the nominated safe place. Also, please note that many couriers are temporarily by-passing the need for a signature upon delivery, this helps to limit the contact made between customers and drivers but means that we will not have signed proof of delivery and tracking data may be limited.
We're Still Insistent On Great Customer Care
The majority of our GardenSite employees will be working from home during the Covid-19 outbreak to help prevent the spread of the virus in our offices, however, you will see no change to the level of service that we're providing. All contact details remain the same and calls and emails will be appropriately routed to employees who will assist you in the normal manner.
However, please understand that some areas of the business, including suppliers, manufacturers, and third-party delivery partners, may be experiencing a shortage of staff and / or increased pressure, so our response time may be slightly longer than our usual 24-hours.
A Business You Can Trust
At GardenSite, we realise that these are unprecedented times for everyone in the UK and the rest of the world, so we're doing our upmost to support both our staff and our customers. People help people, it’s important to protect people, independent businesses and the real people behind them. We're here to help and we would like to reassure you that for us, it’s business as normal. We've been around online since 1999 and bricks and mortar since the 1950s, we're not a 'fly-by night' online seller, we're independent and we're here to stay, whatever the weather and whatever the current state of affairs.
Keeping Stock Replenished
The majority of our products are still in stock and available for delivery, with no threat concerning low stock volumes or detrimental issues affecting supply. To ensure they stay that way, we're closely monitoring warehousing and stock levels, but if a specific item is of importance to you, we encourage you to check stocks before placing your order with us.
Unfortunately, like all retailers, a small percentage of our products are imported from overseas. These items may experience delays, most notably replacement greenhouse glass which has been in high demand since the severe storms earlier in the year and is now out of stock.
However, we are doing our best to keep our product pages and stock indicators up to date as much as we can. We are working hard with our suppliers to make sure you can continue to get the products you want when you want them.
Thank You
As a family-run, independent business, we would like to say thank you to all customers and to our staff alike who serve you and continue to do so through these trying times.
