Important Safety Information on Water Features for Garden and Outdoor Use
This product should not be exposed to extreme weather conditions. It is our recommendation that the product is drained completely and covered during the winter or alternatively drained and placed indoors. The electrical cable is permanently connected and sealed in the pump body. If the supply cable is damaged the pump must not be used. It must be discarded.
For safety-All outdoor wiring MUST be installed and tested by a qualified electrician BEFORE connection to the mains. A Residual Current Device (RCD) also known as a Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB) having a tripping current not exceeding 30mA must be installed in the supply circuit. A 3 amp fuse must be fitted in the supply circuit. This product must be earthed at all times.
For outdoor use the pump has to be permanently connected to the fixed wiring at the mains system other than by means of a plug and socket. If an extension cable is required this must be connected to the end of the pump cable using a watertight cable connector. A means of disconnection from the supply having a contact separation of at least 3mm in all poles must be incorporated in the fixed wiring. Permanent installation to the mains supply must conform to the regulations of the local electricity authority and would include the use of a plastic or metal conduit to protect the cable.
Always disconnect the mains electricity supply whilst the equipment is being installed, repaired, cleaned, maintained and handled or while replacing light bulbs.

Where are lights situated on Helsinki Water Feature and what grade stainless steel is used?We Replied:
Dear Sir / Madam Thank you for your question. The lights are situated just in front of the column in the square base. The stainless steel is grade 304. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Dan EvertonSaturday 23rd, August, 2014
Does the water flow down the column as well or just around the sphere at the top?We Replied:
Dear Michael Thank you for your question. I can confirm that the water flows out of the top of the sphere, trickling down over it and down the sides of the column back into the hidden reservoir at the base. We do have a video on this product page which shows the Helsinki on display and in use along with other water features (it's near the top right within the video) - which I hope will give you a better insight to the water flow. I hope that this information helps. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards, Andy.Thursday 28th, April, 2016
What stabilises the fountain?We Replied:
Dear Michelle Thank you for your question. The fountain is quite stable as it's attached to a large stainless steel base. In addition, when filled with water, the base (that already weighs 8kgs) will become heavier and able to withstand adverse weather conditions. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards LaurenWednesday 27th, July, 2016
Very happy with product and service, quick question - however, the base retaining plate is held in place by 2 screws in diagonal corners, the other 2 corners are just holes which are there presumably to allow the water to recirculate, this looks a little odd as if there should be something in the holes. Am I missing something? We Replied:
Dear Peter Thank you for your question. No there's nothing missing, you are correct in saying the other two holes are to allow the water to recirculate through the feature. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards LaurenMonday 03rd, October, 2016
We have been advised that it is best to drain this feature during the winter so it doesn't freeze. How do you do that since there doesn't seem to be a drain hole at the bottom? We Replied:
Dear Michael Thank you for your question. We would recommend using a cup or a jug to take the water out by hand as tipping the feature upside down may cause damage should you accidentally drop it. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards LaurenThursday 20th, October, 2016
How do you hide the cabling? We Replied:
Dear Vanessa Thank you for your question. If you are referring to the cabling for the pump, it is all self contained inside the feature. The mains lead can be buried underneath soil, grass or can just run around the outside of the garden. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards LaurenWednesday 26th, October, 2016
Can the Helsinki Water Feature be plugged into an outdoor socket, and how is the LED connected? We Replied:
Dear Sue Thank you for your question. As long as the socket is suitable for outdoor use that is fine. The LED is connected to a fly lead off the same transformer as the pump, so when the feature is on the lights come on. The lights do not work independently. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards LaurenTuesday 07th, March, 2017
Is the Helsinki Stainless Water Fountain made from stainless steel or is it stainless effect as some sites describe it?We Replied:
Dear Sue Dickinson Thank you for your question. This item is constructed from high quality 304 grade stainless steel. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards LaurenThursday 09th, March, 2017
