Premium RTF Turf for your home, garden or landscaping work. Rhizomatous Tall Fescue (RTF) is the UK's first turf bred for climate change.

RTF - Rhizomatous Tall Fescue (or Really Tough Turf as it has been described) performs well in drought, doesn’t mind being waterlogged in flooding, is shade tolerant, salt tolerant and is incredibly hard wearing. Grown at nurseries in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, each roll covers 1 square metre and is suitable for family lawns and amenity landscaping.

RTF Premium Turf Features:

The Tall Fescue's unique properties are attributable to its rhizomes and a remarkably deep root system which is bushier, denser, stronger and deeper than anything seen before. Rhizomatous Tall Fescue is a major breakthrough for people who use grass in amenity landscapes and for designers working with housing developers.

Available in a Minimum quantity of 40 or 80 rolls as a fantastic price including delivery within the Mainland UK. See pricing and roll quantiity options below.

Premium RTF Turf is a nursery grown cultivated turf, from nurseries in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. Harvested in small roll format, premium turf has a fine texture that will give you a first class lawn with a beautiful appearance. Each roll covers an area of 1 square metre and is suitable for family lawns and amenity landscaping.

RTF and WaterWise

In March 2007, RTF was awarded the Waterwise Marque. The grass seed variety is the first to gain this prestigious accolade.
The Waterwise Marque highlights the most water efficient products available on the market. In the current climate of drought the UK is running out of water and it is becoming increasingly important for consumers to save water and purchase water efficient products.

Please Note: Images used are for Demonstration purposes only and may not resemble the final product, especially due to the variety of shades and denseness of grass available throughout the year.

RTF turf. The best we have had in 33 years

We have had various grades of turf over 3 decades and 3 gardens, ranging from 'local' from nearby supplier (I think it was dug up from the local central reservation) to slow growing turf grown on compost that doesn't shed so you can carry it through the house. Very expensive and it didn't grow well on our soil. However this RTF variety arrived in excellent condition, on time and was easy to lay, it looks great. It did not have a thick layer of soil and all th pieces were uniform depth with no weeds.

Questions and Answers (1) Asked:

We took delivery of our RTF turf last week and very pleased. How long do we wait before mowing and also do we need to fertilize? Would appreciate any other tips to keep maintained.

We Replied:

Dear Pauline Thank you for your question. We advise you wait around a month before mowing, before you do cut the grass we recommend you water the turf daily and use seed in between each roll of turf so that it merges nicely. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Nathan James Dodd
