Lamp Post in Oxidised Solid Copper

Oxidised copper is a superb material to use for the Fenix lamp that, when combined with an elegant column, forms a notable lamp post.

The lamp post will be a notable garden ornament both during the day and evening, as copper takes on various hues when it oxidises. This creates a lovely colourful patina and, adding to the lamp's attractive nature, is smoked glass that conceals the 100 watt bulb.

Fully weather resistant as you would expect for a lamp positioned outside, this Konstsmide lamp has a lengthy guarantee against corrosion.

Looks Good in the Front Garden

As I wanted to keep the traditional look of the Fenix light I matched it with the Hercules 575 column which is a bit more old fashioned, but suited better. I chose the smaller of the two columns as I did not need the extra height. I also bought the sub base frame which is a pretty substantial bit of kit that you pretty much end up burying in the soil but then you simply bolt the column to it. It works well. I am looking forward to seeing it when we arrive home late on a dark winter's night. The lamp is quite shiny at the moment but you can see it will quickly dull off.
