Picnic Table Guide

Eating outside is one of summer's pleasures and there's nothing better or more simple than a picnic table on which to share a meal with family and friends.

Suitable for both adults and children, there's plenty of choice of picnic tables, and they are all quality products that are very easy to assemble.

Zest4Leisure are renowned for their high quality range of garden products especially their furniture. They have a range of picnic tables all with a different design element ensuring that there will be a design that will complement your garden. In addition to their classic Katrina, and circular Katie and Rose picnic tables, Zest have released three new larger designs. The Alex Octagon is a more modern take on the traditional picnic table and has bent seats. The Poppy picnic table is a smaller size similar in design to the Rose. For their new 2019 Noah range, they released the Noah's Picnic Table which features connecting bench seats and table.

Rowlinson make a huge variety of timber garden products so it's only natural that they have three different sized traditional picnic tables on offer, one 4ft long bench suitable for four people, the other 5ft bench for up to six people and a 6ft bench to seat up to eight people! They are both very sturdy and large enough to accommodate plenty of plates and dishes. The natural timber finish can be painted or stained, and the timber is pressure treated to be rot resistant. A round picnic table has been added to the range with a distinctly individual design as well as a more modern square picnic table.

Also somewhat rustic are the two Refectory Bench and Tables from Forest. These are very substantial, made up from sleeper benches and a refectory type table that can be bought separately, and guaranteed for 15 years. The attractive design of the traditional Small Rectangular and Large Rectangular is sturdy, hardwearing and built to last whether it's located on a patio or on the lawn. For a more modern approach, Forest have designed a Circular Table with also a design which has seat backs which add a measure of comfort allowing you to enjoy many hours in the garden.

Churnet Valley take pride in using only the best materials to make their furniture range especially their picnic tables which are all made from pressure treated Swedish Redwood. They're available in 2 sizes. The Deluxe 5ft and Deluxe 6ft is made from chunky sections of wood and is built to last for years to come.

Regardless of which table you select, the tables offer a sturdy and comfortable design to meet any garden needs.

Top quality furniture in the Pine Collection from Alexander Rose has a natural yellow/green grain that mellows to silver grey. Their Woburn 5ft and 6ft picnic tables are traditionally designed and carry a three year warranty. The Gleneagles table is chunkily styled with eight stools around a round table, and thoughtfully there is a support to keep your parasol upright in breezy weather.

If you are planning a large get together then Alexander Rose's 6ft Farmers Dining Table with accompanying stools should fit the bill, a fantastic way for all the family to gather on a sunny summer's Sunday afternoon.

Children's rectangular and circular picnic tables are a speciality of Plum Products with removable tops that reveal compartments for just sand or sand and water. The Circular Picnic Table boasts colourful seats to give your children a fun place to sit in the garden. The Rectangular Picnic Table includes a parasol which is great for keeping your little ones shaded and out of the sun.

Grange are another company that use only the best environmentally friendly materials and their 6½ft picnic table has space saving folding seats. Again the timber is guaranteed against rot and, with the seats folded, can be used just as a useful table.

Round picnic tables from Rowlinson and Grange are of a similar design, and up to eight people can eat and drink in comfort around them.
