Similar to all Swallow wooden greenhouses, the Falcon is constructed from Scandinavian redwood pine that has been heat treated to remove moisture and resin.
The resultant Thermowood® is highly durable with fantastic warp, shrinkage and decay resistance, it does not need preservative or further treatment. However, if you prefer a painted wooden greenhouse, an opaque acrylic in a choice of colours can be applied.
As any Swallow Falcon greenhouse review will confirm, there’s no doubt that the Falcon is exceptionally appointed. Automatic opening vents to control heat and humidity come fitted rather than treated as optional extras, and staging along one side is already in place.
Wide double doors mean that access is easy if you are carrying large equipment or are a wheelchair gardener. Plants can be located centrally and underneath the eaves to maximize production in this spacious environment that’s very light due to toughened glass that’s silicone sealed.
