Description
If you have a greenhouse, you'll be familiar with the hassle of having to arrange for someone else to have to come in and water your crops, whether that be a friend or neighbour, and this can often lead to problems. Now, thanks to the WaterMate Pro automatic greenhouse irrigation kit those days are behind you.
Brilliantly conceived and designed, this automatic irrigation system will keep your greenhouse or polytunnel crops well hydrated whilst being completely unmanned using a clever blend of timers and environmental sensors which can be controlled remotely using the Harvst web app for Android or iPhone, however, if you don't have internet don't fear, it can still function without WiFi!
If the temperature falls or rises above a set point, or if your water supply has run dry, you'll receive a notification via email to alert you, however for this function you do need an internet connection.
You may choose to have your WaterMate either solar-powered or mains-powered from the options below. For the solar version, you'll receive essentially all the same components but you'll also receive a solar panel complete with 3m of cable (which is extendable) with your control box, which is easy to mount and install. With the mains version, you'll instead receive a 240V mains supply with 5m of cable. We would usually recommend customers to go with the mains-powered version if the location will have access to a socket as it is capable of providing more water over a shorter space of time should your crops need it and is also capable of delivering more water over extended periods. Further, the system won't be limited by sunlight!
You're also able to choose how to supply your irrigation system with water, you can opt to receive a compact and powerful, submersible water pump which should be placed inside a water source such as a water butt or tank. However, if the location will have access to a mains water supply you can just as easily use these, such as a garden hose. In both cases, it's easy to set up using the user-friendly instructions provided.
Your kit will include: a WaterMate control unit with either a solar panel or mains supply, a mini submersible water pump (if pump version is selected below), an air temperature sensor, dual electric water valves, 6m of 13mm braided hose to connect to water supply, 2x 10m of LDPE distribution pipe, all the necessary joints and pipe fittings, 20m of 4mm micro-irrigation pipe, 24 x pressure compensated drippers (4LPH) with ground stakes, 12 x 4mm hose adapters, 10 x 360° sprayers covering 1m² each, 10 x 180° sprayers covering 1m² each, 6 x 4mm water taps and the Harvst app compatible with Android or iPhone.
