Swedish redwood has attractive colour and great attributes including durability and rot resistance, and these qualities have been enhanced by pressure treatment using Tanalith water-based preservative. It is the ideal timber for shiplap tongue & groove cladding which is double nailed and the roof which is similarly hardwearing with a bitumen mineral felt covering.

The shed is reinforced by 38 x 50mm cladding and has a strong floor made up of 18mm boards. Elevation bearers lift the shed off the ground so that air can flow easily underneath.

So that you can move about freely, the interior is filled with light from six windows. These are glazed with horticultural glass but you can customise the shed by opting for no windows. There is also a choice between keeping with a standard single door or choosing to have double doors.

To prevent metal fixtures and fittings from rusting, they are all galvanized or bright zinc plated, this includes the 10-inch door hinges, cladding nails, and the Brenton bolt that can be fitted with a padlock if the shed and its contents need to be secured.
