Description
Passionate gardeners will find working and growing an impressive number of plants in the 8ft x 16ft Rook Potting Shed a very satisfying experience.
Swallow build all their greenhouses with ThermoWood®, so the Potting Shed will be an incredibly useful resource for a very long time. The timber has been heat-treated to eliminate moisture and resin, so the resultant wood is extremely durable and resists warping and decay.
Glazing to the front and above allows in a considerable amount of light and this, in addition to the cool circulation of air from automatic roof vents, will create a wonderful environment in which your seedlings and plants will flourish.
Staging, running the length of the shed, is fitted as standard. It will provide space on which to sow seed and pot on plants and a useful storage area below. At the rear are shelves on which to keep small gardening items. You can add an extra shelf as an option together with a high-level shelf above the staging.
Keen recyclers will know that rainwater is preferable to the tap variety, so why not fix optional guttering and a downpipe to collect it. Store some in the potting shed so that it is room temperature before sprinkling on your appreciative plants.

Dimensions do not include any applicable overhang or guttering, so please ensure that there is sufficient space around your proposed greenhouse base without obstruction, for it to be sited and installed successfully.
Note: Larger 8ft x 18ft and smaller 8ft x 14ft versions of this potting shed are available.

Your Swallow Greenhouse frame can be painted in a multitude of colours at a small additional cost to perfectly match your outdoor space.
Your greenhouse will come as standard in a ThermoWood® none painted finish for no extra cost.
You may also have your greenhouse come in a ThermoWood® Oiled Finish to prevent fading, watermarks, mould, water ingress and dirt marks.

Delivery Information
Fast Free Delivery within Mainland England and Wales.
Inclusive delivery and installation are limited to mainland England, Wales and Scotland up to a maximum of 15 miles further North of Glasgow.
Unfortunately, Swallow greenhouses cannot be delivered and installed to areas of Scotland above 15 miles North of Glasgow or the Scottish Highlands free of charge, so additional costs would apply as detailed in the options above. Delivery and installation can't be carried out to Offshore Islands and Isles, Northern Ireland, or the Republic of Ireland.
Delivery Period
Delivery will typically be made within 5 - 8 weeks for standard Thermowood, Oiled frames, and Painted greenhouses frames to the majority of locations upon ordering, and after confirming that your base area is prepared and ready for installation of your new greenhouse.
*Note: Some delivery locations such as Scotland, Devon, and Cornwall, as well as Ilfracombe, Exeter and anything West off unfortunately currently have extended delivery timeframes due to the additional distance required for the delivery and for our installation team to travel. This can be up to an additional 4 weeks on top of the standard quoted lead times.
All Swallow greenhouses are crafted to order, so maybe extended during busy times of the year.
Bespoke Product Procedure
This product range is made to order on an order-by-order basis, therefore is exempt from our usual cancellation and returns policy. Any cancellations after your order has started production may not be able to be cancelled or may be subject to cancellation charges. Although a very rare occurrence, this does not affect any orders that arrive damaged or faulty, whereby our normal terms on receiving a faulty product will apply.
Vehicles We Use
Items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places it's typically, a 7.5-ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.
Unloading Of Your Delivery
Back garden access is required from the front of the property, as due to the size of the product and the large sections that they are delivered in, the installation/delivery team are unable to carry these items inside your home as the sections are unlikely to pass through standard indoor door sizes. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable. Goods can only be maneuvered on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. If the installation/delivery team is unable to gain access to the installation area from the front of the property, they may not be able to complete the installation, and a cancellation or rebooking charge may apply.
Base Preparation
A suitable, flat, and level base must be prepared prior to the arrangement of delivery and installation, which can affect the delivery and installation timeframe - so please ensure that this is pre-prepared as soon as possible so that your greenhouse can begin production. The installation team will contact you approx 3 weeks in advance and will request a photo of the proposed installation area before being able to confirm a delivery and installation date. This is to ensure that the area is ready and suitable, ensuring successful installation on the day.
