With a hefty capacity, the Large 6 ft wide log store from Forest Garden provides ample space to keep your logs dry.

In the winter months when you are looking forward to keeping warm in front of a roaring fire, the last thing you want is damp logs as this leads to is lots of smoke and little heat. This is where an effective log store comes in handy.

Logs are very effectively dried as this model boasts slatted sides which help to create maximum ventilation inside while the floor is raised off the ground to prevent it from coming into contact with fallen rain on the ground.

Delivered in a simple self-assembly flat packed form, it's easily put together as the sides, floor and roof pieces are partly assembled to make installation at home as quickly as possible. with instructions that are full and easy to follow.

The timber is pressure treated to combat rot, hence why the manufacturer offers a 15-year guarantee against rot. This means it will never require any further treatment - saving time and money and helping the environment by reducing the number of chemicals used annually.

Fast Free Delivery within Mainland UK.

We offer fast and free delivery within mainland UK on our Forest products.

Delivery Period
Delivery will typically be made within 3 - 5 working days for the majority of mainland UK locations (exclusions apply - see below for details).

For the majority of mainland UK locations, Forest products are delivered to your home directly by the manufacturer. In this instance you will receive a message by phone or email with details to manually book in a chosen delivery date.
For limited areas of south east England, limited areas of the south west England, and Scotland, Forest products are delivered by a third party carrier. In this instance, the carrier will contact you directly to book a delivery date once your order is ready at their delivery centre.

Deliveries to the below postcode areas can take up to 7 working days extra, on top of the advertised lead-time:
BN1-BN3, BN5-BN18, BN20-BN27, BN41-BN45, BR8, CB1-CB4, CB6-CB8, CO1-CO16, CT1-CT21, EX1-EX24, EX31-EX39, GU6, GU28, IP1-IP33, ME1-ME20, NR1-NR35, PE14-PE30, PE38, PL1-PL29, RH6-RH20, TN1-TN40, TQ1-TQ14, TR1-TR20, TR26-TR27.

Installation
If you have purchased an installation service with us, available on selected Forest branded sheds, structures and buildings then this is completed after successful delivery of the product and is generally completed within 1 - 2 weeks following. After successful delivery, you will be contacted directly by the installers to book in an installation date. Please ensure that you have checked the delivery for all components and keep in a safe, dry place until the installation occurs.

Unfortunately, installation is not available to the following postcodes: BT1-BT99, GY1-GY9, HS1-HS9, IM1-IM9, IV41-IV56, JE1-JE5, KA27-KA28, KW15-KW17, PO30-PO41, PO49, TR21-TR25.

Vehicles We Use
For the majority of cases, items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places. Typically they are a 7.5-ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.

Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable and the goods can only be maneuvered on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions, the driver will split the package to assist with the maneuvering of the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery. Assistance with unloading may be required.

Decent enough

One delivery driver wasn't having a good day and was v.grumpy about bad access. The other was super-nice, but did as he was told. Shame - all they needed to say was 'sorry mate, if we hurt ourselves we can't work, but we can help you break it down to carry it in' (they did lend me a knife to cut open the packing straps). Anyway, once it was all in, I found one bit of wood snapped in two. Fortunately, the application of a few extra screws and it's all put together well enough (hey, it's not exactly a massive structure!). Even with that, it's a pretty simple build, and manageable for one person - there are quite a few screws, so needs an electric drill/screwdriver. It looks pretty good, but looks *much* better with logs in it (shame there are no pictures of a full one!). Seems to have plenty of ventilation and shelter to help logs lose their water. Since ours were cut from a tree in the garden just weeks ago, it remains to be seen how they dry out, but I don't see any problems here. All in all, a good buy - easy to put up, looks nice, not too expensive.

Does everything it should

The store went together easily, now filled to the brim with logs, amounts to one and a half delivery. Some rain reaches the bottom section, but only at the exposed ends. Will be ok.

As advertised

Delivery was on time and the flat pack was easy for two people to move. Although treated already we did give another coat of preservative. Very easy to assemble as no parts too heavy. Really all you can say is it does the job intended!

A good buy.

The log store arrived as arranged and was not difficult to assemble - a not-too-handy 77 year old did it in a couple of hours! It seems sturdy enough though we painted it with wood preservative just to be sure. No logs to put in it yet, but can't envision any problems.

Dear Tim Thank you for your question. That's tough to answer because it depends on how dry the logs are. When they are green and full of sap they will weigh a lot more than logs that have been seasoned. The cubic capacity of the Large Wood Store is is in excess of 2 cubic metres so it would swallow a tonne bag filled with logs.
