Terracotta Warrior Ornament by Lucas Stone

(4.3) Based on 1 Review

The Terracotta Army was discovered in 1974, more than 8000 soldiers of China's first emperor, displayed in military formation according to rank, who had been buried for centuries.

Always searching for unusual and interesting subjects, Lucan Stone have now recreated one of the warriors from this amazing find in high quality, hand crafted, reconstituted stone.

Wonderfully sculpted, he stands, hands clasped, dressed in armour ready to defend the sovereign. Every feature of his face has been depicted in fine detail, accurately reproducing his enigmatic expression.

What an impression he will make when placed in position, guarding your house or garden. The stone, which is extremely durable, ages and becomes even more characterful with each passing year.

Originally the warriors were painted and these fabulous Lucas reproductions are available in Aged Cotswold Stone or Moss.

Charming piece

This is a charming warrior for an Oriental themed garden. The detail could be even better, and there is a visible top-to-toe seam down the back of the piece - presumably from the stone casting process - but it is still an authentic-looking, very heavy, evocative and pleasing statue. If the detail had been slightly more articulated the quality and price ratings would have been 5 star. It was delivered to the exact spot in my garden, hence the 5 star rating for that.
