Description

The Melmar Stone Edwardian Bird Bath is stoutly designed but retains the elegant characteristics of previous architectural styles and is robustly made in the UK from highly durable cast stone.

From a square base the balustrade stem leads up to a wide rimmed round bowl, this is a specially commissioned design that references tradition but makes full use of modern manufacturing techniques.

Hand finished in either a warm Cotswold, aged antique or classic bronze colour, a protective coating has also been applied that allows this splendid ornamental piece to remain outdoors whatever the weather.

Vehicles We Use
Items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places it's typically, a 15 ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.

Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable. Goods can only be manoeuvred on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions the driver will split the package to assist with manoeuvring of the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery.

Lovely little bird bath, and excellent service

I'd been looking for a small, simple bird bath for ages and this is exactly what I wanted. The square base and solid design means it is very stable, and at just under 2 inches of water depth it suits the blue tits and finches in my garden nicely. Purchase and delivery were straightforward, although I've knocked off one star because the time window in the notification message I received didn't match what the courier had on their chart. Still, would definitely recommend this product and company.

Are the base, pedestal and bird bath made as one, or are they made as three separate pieces that I would have to assemble?

Dear Kathryn Thank you for your question. The birdbath comes in the form of a pedestal and a separate top. The top and pedestal are not securely connected after assembly. If you are concerned about this we recommend securing the two parts with a proprietary adhesive such as “No Nails”.
