Great Garden Swing
i like the quality and weight of the swing, you could build this yourself but i suggest two people for safety. i checked all the parts were their before building, only had a minor issue with the right hand side trellis which had split, Gardensite quickly ordered another and i received within 5 days, it did not stop me building the swing. check everything is there before commencing, the instruction manual is available to download and print, i prefered the colour version to the in package manual, i would suggest marking each part with a post it sticker, all the parts are letterd and numbered on the manual. follow instructions clearly, some important info regarding when to tighten the bolts, you need some flexibility. i found one of my arm rests did not fit the pre-drilled hole, all i had to do was drill a new hole and everything fitted, sometimes wood can bend which i think is what hapened here. i sent Garden site a picture of my completed swing, you can see this on their web page, it's sitting on my deck with an outdoor carpet beneath the two front legs, i was happy to oblige with a picture of a customer built version. all in we are extremely happy with the swing, i give the swing and Garden Site top marks, the side cup trays are tight to put in place, i used a rubber mallet to get them in place. my granddaughter also loves the swing, she turns it into a little den play area. very sturdy and well used by whole family, i'm 18st so it will take plenty weight.
