Replicating a seaside beach hut, the sturdy box has lap board sides and even a real shingle roof. To prevent predators getting into the nest, there is a silvered hole protector.

Small birds, especially tits, will soon find this box appealing when they are looking around for nesting places early in the season. You will then be able to observe them flying in and out at close quarters.

The box has been designed to be easily cleaned and disinfected when the birds have flown the nest, this should be done annually to ensure hygiene and make the box a welcoming environment for next year's residents.

Siting: The box should be situated 1.5-2.5m high preferably concealed from prevailing winds and inaccessible by predators. It should face East, South East or North East. Nesting materials aren't necessary as wild birds will bring their own.
