Description

An electric fence to protect your garden against unwanted intruders, ideal for keeping out cats or predators from your pond or aviary.

It works simply by the transformer giving off a low and harmless electric pulse to the wire. Touching the fence will scare off herons, cats and other predatory animals causing them to avoid your garden in the future.

This unit is completely safe as it is low voltage but we do advise keeping away from children and pets.

Garden Protector Features:

Nice pond protector

Protected my pond by using 4"x4" timber protruding 6" from the ground as little columns. Into each I screwed the tall and short wire supports this pack comes with. Result was two lengths of wire around 6" and 12" from the edge of the pond, looks good and hopefully will keep the herons at bay! I made upper and lower wires both live so they both will zap intruders (instructions say the lower wire should be grounded).

John Asked:

Will birds get zapped if they touch this fence?

We Replied:

Dear John Thank you for your question. Birds should be ok, on the other hand a cat be in for a shock if it jumped onto the fence. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Andy Hobson

Barry Asked:

i'm thinking of putting electric fencing around my aviary to deter cats. How harmful is it to cats and will it have any lasting affects?

We Replied:

Dear Barry Thank you for your question. This has a very low level current so there should be no adverse effects on the cats, but it will be enough for them to not try again! Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Dan Everton

Ellie kenyon Asked:

I recently bought this kit elsewhere but it does not have a plug fitted to the transformer, therefore I need to send it back and would like to buy it from you instead. Does the kit your selling have a plug fitted?

We Replied:

Dear Ellie Thank you for your question. There will be no plug fitted to these units as it is against EU regulations to supply any pond equipment with a moulded plug. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Dan Everton

Adam Fenter Asked:

What are the running costs (electric) of this unit? Does the wire need to connect back to itself eg a ring or can you run one wire left of the box and one to the right without the wire coming back to the box or joining the other end?

We Replied:

Dear Adam Thank you for your question. The Protector's power consumption is 1.1watts. Thread the black electric wire through the eyes of the lower insulators, make a knot at the end and fasten the same wire to the ground pin. Stretch a second electric wire through the upper insulators. Stretch the wires taut and so that there is no contact with plants. The upper and lower wire must not be interconnected! Connect the red pulse wire to the red knob of the transformer and the other end of this wire to the upper electric wire with the help of a connector provided. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Dan Everton

Kate Barwell Asked:

What distance does this protector cover?

We Replied:

Dear Kate Thank you for your question. This item comes with 80 metres of cable, however, this cable needs to go from point A-B and back so you have 40 metres of coverage. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Connor Fisher

Tim Rasbash Asked:

Could this be used on top of a fence to keep cats in an enclosed garden? If so, does it come with all the necessary fittings so that it can be installed on top of a fence?

We Replied:

Dear Tim Thank you for your question. The unit comes with fittings to attach to the top of your posts. We are unsure whether this will be effective at keeping cats in your garden. It will help to stop others from getting into your garden but, when animals are fenced in, it can be different matter as they can be much more determined. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Paul Ilsley
