Happy Days

I am very happy with my new summerhouse which is also home to my new BBQ. We have used the building several times this year to entertain family and friends. While I'm cooking in the open section my wife ends up sitting inside chatting and drinking wine.

Questions and Answers (4)

MARK GIBSON Asked:

Is this summerhouse easy to erect for two people who are both good at DIY?

We Replied:

Hi Mark Thank you for your question. The answer is 'yes', it is easy to install for two able bodied people. It does not require any specialist skills or tools. My only advice would be not to erect on a very windy day. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kathy Atkinson Asked:

What type of base does this need to go on?

We Replied:

Dear Kathy Thank you for your question. We would recommend putting this item onto a flat, hardstanding surface, either concrete slabs or decking. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Lauren

Anna Acton Asked:

How is this cabin treated prior to painting? What protective coating is used?

We Replied:

Dear Anna Thank you for your question. The summerhouse is untreated prior to being factory painted. The paint provides the protection and it's not necessary to add anything further to protect the summerhouse immediately. Further treatment/painting will only be needed every couple of years or so. I hope this helps. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Lauren

David Asked:

1.Do you offer a service to erect the cabin? 2.Do you recommend that the structure is bolted/screwed down? If so are predrilled holes provided? 3. How does water escape from the roof? Is there provision for gutter/drain piping to be fitted to a water butt? 4.Can the store/open area be reversed left to right/right to left?

We Replied:

Dear David Thank you for your question. 1. Unfortunately no we do not offer a service to erect the cabin. 2. No, you don't have to bolt down the summerhouse as it is a heavy building and pre-drilled holes are not provided as it's not necessary. 3. The roof at the back of the summerhouse is angled so water won't build up. We have been advised that you could possibly use guttering and have a water butt but it depends on your DIY skills. You would have to fix this at the back of the roof where it is angled. 4. It can be built either way, whichever you prefer. I hope this helps. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Lauren
