Description
Sheds needn't be huge to be a very useful addition to your garden, whoever thought of the aphorism 'small but perfectly formed' knew what they were talking about.
One of our best sellers, partly because the door is located on the 'long' side, this Overlap 6ft x 4ft Shed from Forest is a perfect example.
Its attractive construction uses square cut overlap mixed softwood that has been pressure treated, so there's no need for preservative. Rot and decay resistant, the timber carries a 15-year guarantee and comes from sustainable sources.
Security is high on everyone's agenda and this shed does not disappoint. The hidden door hinges will prove safe and secure, there's a hasp and staple latch, and the robust door has been braced for strength.
A polycarbonate window allows light to flood into the interior, it is unbreakable and will not become brittle or yellow with age.
The floor that comes as standard is also pressure treated to make it exceptionally durable, and any contents of the shed will be protected by a hard wearing sheet material roof that is weatherproofed with black sand felt.

If you have a concrete, slabbed or patio area prepared already, and wish to not heighten your new Forest structure off the ground, then it can be installed straight on top of your already prepared area, without the need for a base frame.

We offer fast and free delivery within mainland UK on our Forest sheds.
Delivery Period
Delivery will typically be made within 3 - 5 working days for the majority of mainland UK locations (exclusions apply - see below for details). Delivery times may be extended during busy times of the year depending on the availability of delivery vehicles.
For the majority of mainland UK locations, Forest products are delivered to your home directly by the manufacturer. In this instance you will receive a message by phone or email with details to manually book in a chosen delivery date.
For limited areas of south east England, limited areas of the south west England, and Scotland, Forest products are delivered by a third party carrier. In this instance, the carrier will contact you directly to book a delivery date once your order is ready at their delivery centre.
- Deliveries to the below postcode areas can take up to 7 working days extra, on top of the advertised lead-time:

Installation
If you have purchased an installation service with us, available on selected Forest branded sheds, structures and buildings then this is completed after successful delivery of the product and is generally completed within 1 - 2 weeks following. After successful delivery, you will be contacted directly by the installers to book in an installation date. Please ensure that you have checked the delivery for all components and keep in a safe, dry place until the installation occurs.
Unfortunately, installation is not available to the following postcodes: BT1-BT99, GY1-GY9, HS1-HS9, IM1-IM9, IV41-IV56, JE1-JE5, KA27-KA28, KW15-KW17, PO30-PO41, PO49, TR21-TR25.
Vehicles We Use
Items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places it's typically, a 7.5-ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.
Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable and the goods can only be manoeuvred on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions, the driver will split the package to assist with the manoeuvring of the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery. Assistance with unloading may be required.

Excellent shed
it was delivered quickly. Unless you have a hard level surface, I suggest that if you buy this shed, you buy the base as well otherwise I do not think you can get it level. All materials and parts were present. Easy to erect, simply follow the clear instructions.

We have a concrete base to put the shed on. Do we need any other type of base or can it go directly onto the concrete?
We Replied:Dear Fran Thank you for your question. Ideally, you will require a hard standing surface therefore concrete is ideal for this. The shed can be placed directly on top of the concrete base. The floor of the shed includes bearers which will sit on the existing concrete surface and will allow for air circulation between them and wooden floor. Your base will need to be several inches larger than the shed base which is 5ft 9ins wide and 3ft 10ins deep.
