Nathan graduated from Coventry University in 1994 with a BSc Hons Degree in Geography, before working for several government agencies (NCET and Becta) responsible for promoting ICT in British schools during the 1990's. During this time Nathan managed national initiatives including School Names on the Net, the Multimedia Portables for Teachers and Teacher Online Projects. In 2001 Nathan joined the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) helping underpin government policy with research based evidence on young people and employers including the Skills of the Nation reports and the National Employer Skills Survey. From 2007 - 2010 Nathan was the Farm Manager at Jimmy's Farm in Suffolk where he helped develop the venue as a visitor attraction. He helped practically by building a Butterfly House and further used his management skills to co-ordinate events including 'Harvest at Jimmy's', a two day celebrity music and food festival for over 20,000 people. From a young age Nathan has had a passion and enthusiasm for gardening working weekends and holidays at Halls Garden Centre in Castle Bromwich alongside his grandparents Gerald and Doris Hall. Since 2010 Nathan has been working at Halls developing the online garden centre (GardenSite) with particular attention to social involvemant and pricing and product stratergy as well as getting involved in display and creative areas, both instore and in the wider garden centre.
