Description

Ideal for ponds up to 6000 litres if you have no fish and 3000 if you do, this filter comes with filter foam, Kaldnes K3 media and a UV clarifier to stop green water.

The 2-year guarantee which is included in the price you pay will give you peace of mind that you’re covered if anything goes wrong with the filter.

A built-in UV clarifier comes with a 9 watt PLS lamp already installed so you can start using your Bioforce 3000 straight away.

Hozelock Bioforce 3000 Filter Information

  • For ponds up to 6000 litres (1320 gallons) with no fish.
  • For ponds up to 3000 litres (660 gallons) with fish.
  • 9 watt PLS UV lamp included.
  • Filter dimensions: 412 x 383 x 292mm.
  • Inlet/outlet size: 20-25mm.
  • Cable length is 5 metres.

Due to its pressurised design water can be pumped to a higher exit point to create a beautiful waterfall. With three types of filtration: mechanical, biological and UV. Mechanical Filtration is performed by the water flow through the filter foams which are layered to give maximum surface area and make for much easier maintenance.

The Biological Filtration is done through Kaldnes K3 filter media which is scientifically proven in wide spread water purification processes. This media allows good bacteria to colonise onto the K3 consuming waste in the water leading to better water quality.

The built in Ultra-Violet Clarifier will eradicate green water suspended algae in your pond helping to keep it clear and looking great. Your Bioforce is also easy to clean, using the backflush system which will flush out debris from the filter, extending time between thorough foam cleaning.

I bought this product with the Hozelock pump 4/5 years ago and I have run the unit all winter. After openng it for cleaning I found the glass tube to be full of water. After draining and drying the electrical compartment, is the UV safe to use, and do you think the problem is the two O Rings?

Dear Raymond Thank you for your question. As long as the unit is properly dried out you can try a new bulb to see if the unit is viable for use. If it is, we would recommend purchasing a seals kit, we would also suggest looking at the quartz glass for any cracks or chips which could allow water in. We have just cleaned our filter and replaced the bulb but are having difficulty in replacing the top of the unit. This is a pressure filter that fits in the ground, are there any special ways that the top fits?
