I'm interested in the Lunaqua 3 set of spotlights. What would I need to run a 10m cable from the transformer (which I assume needs to be indoors) to the first of my three lights? I.e. The distance from the power source to where I want the lights exceeds 5 metres? We Replied:
Dear Phil Thank you for your question. The transformer can be outdoors, its weatherproof but not submersible. You need to use an outdoor junction box close to where you require the lights and have that powered by cable from an indoor socket. I need to replace a bulb in the Oase Lunaqua 3 but the instructions do not seem to cover this. How is it done?We Replied:
Dear Chris Thank you for your question. The front casing will unscrew from the light giving you access to the bulb to be replaced. I need to change the entire light but the existing cable is concreted into the pond. Can just the light be removed and replaced without re-cabling?We Replied:
Dear Belinda Thank you for your question. You would require a cable joiner if the connection is going under water. Please follow this link to the appropriate product: https://www.gardensite.co.uk/Aquatics/Oase_Waterproof_Cable_Connector.htm Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. What is the light coverage angle. Not the stated up / down angle but light spread. I'm not looking for a spot light in the pond but a light that will illuminate a wide area around each lamp say 100/120 degrees? We Replied:
Dear Douglas Thank you for your question. The light spread for this light is 30˚ (half peak angle). The half peak angle is the point at which the horizontal light spread reaches half brightness. Unfortunately we do not have any figures of the light's total angle output and you will have a dimmer light spread after this 30˚ angle. With this half peak angle the light would be officially classed as a flood light rather than a spot light, however for some consumers they would class this as a spot light as the light is directional rather than illuminating the whole area. Are the bulbs just standard G4 halogen bulbs or do they need to be special ones?We Replied:
