Description
Introduce water into your garden and breathe life into the landscape by installing the Lotus Toughline Dove Preformed Pond. Boasting a versatile, natural-looking circular shape that will blend into the existing environment harmoniously, this preformed plastic pond will soon become a preferred natural sanctuary for wildlife.
Included with this model you'll find a convenient shelf that's premoulded into the structure. There are two main benefits of this, the first being that you can introduce a variety of plant species into the pond, particularly marginal plants that prefer shallow water such as yellow iris or flowering rush. This will contribute towards creating a natural waterside look. The second benefit of the integrated shelf is that wildlife such as toads, newts, frogs and more will use it as a pathway to get in and out of the pond as they please.
Installation is quick and easy - simply dig a hole, place the pond inside and backfill with either soft sand or sifted soil as you gradually add the water, making sure the pond remains completely level at all times.
Made from high-quality rigid polyethylene (HDPE) plastic, this preformed pond will remain an aquatic paradise to be enjoyed by both humans and wildlife for many years if installed and maintained adequately. It also comes with a 25 year manufacturer's guarantee for your peace of mind.

I intend to support the unit on a layer of sand covering the floor area of the existing structure, such that the liner rim rests on the top surface of the octagonal wall i.e. to provide stability the top rim will be in contact with existing pond wall around the liner's total circumference. Would this be acceptable?
