How strong is the liner? We are used to having preformed pond liners so I am a little concerned that it will get punctured (we have a cat). Is there not an option for a preformed liner to go with this?

Can you keep mixed fish in this pond including Koi and smaller fish?

Dear Jo Thank you for your question. This is quite small for Koi. They can be kept but only while they are small, after around 6-12 months they will need transferring. The 600 gallon pool is much more suited to Koi keeping. in the 300 pool we would advise you to only keep around 5-10 small koi and 5 more goldfish. If we buy this 300 gallon pool and decide we need a larger one in future, is it just a case of buying a larger capacity liner and adding more slats (if both are available)? The reason I ask is that there seems to be no real size difference, save for the actual number of slats and therefore the height of each unit.
