Why would this electrical head have water in it?
We Replied:Dear SIr / Madam Thank you for your question. A seal on the quartz or head unit might have developed a fault or the quartz has developed a chip or crack allowing water into the head. My Fish Mate Electrical Head keeps filling with water and blowing the choke. There is no leak from the filter as I removed the head and dried it all off and kept an eye on it, the seal is fine. I think it is condensation as I have always had this problem. Is there any way round this?

The glass that holds the UV lamp has broken on my filter, flooded the chamber and tripped the rcd. i've replaced the glass and lamp but the lamp does not work. Have I got to change the whole electrical head as this was immersed in water?
