Traditionally styled and compact, Gabriel Ash's Essential cold frame is constructed from hard wearing and attractive cedar wood, ready to start planting flowers or crops at home even within the smallest of gardens.

Cold frames are particularly useful for starting off early vegetables and salad, letting you make the most of the warmer Spring days but still protecting your yield if any bad weather arises - just as it normally does in the UK!

Hard wearing and attractive Cedar wood, which naturally turns to a rich silvery grey over time is used for the cold frame's construction, making it easy to assemble but also creating a hardy and long lasting growing box that'll last for many years to come due to the Cedar's naturally occurring preservative, adding to its weather-resistant properties.

Toughened glass is used so that your plants will benefit from all the available light, and panes are held in place by a gasket seal. Aluminium cappings, which are powder coated in a subdued slate grey, will blend with the cedar and ensure everything stays in place.
