In My Own World

  • Delivery: Three Stars
  • Quality: Five Stars
  • Price: Four Stars

I wanted a greenhouse that didn't look ugly and fitted in with my country garden so I could grow alpines and keep them out of the wet of an English winter. The traditional look and feel of the Heritage suits me entirely. The integral shelves mean that I have an easy working height and some storage underneath. Because it's pressure treated I don't need to treat it any more but think I will have it stained the same colour as our brown wooden windows. Lovely to work in when it's cold but sunny outside as I take in a cup of tea and the radio and I'm in my own world. Brilliant.

Questions and Answers (3)

Sheila Asked:

What kind of base does this need and Is there a ground plan with measurements?

We Replied:

Dear Sheila The Glasshouse ideally should be sited on a solid base which could be compacted hardcore, concrete or slabs. If it sits on earth it could potentially sink over time putting stress on the building and the glass. Unfortunately we do not have a ground plan with measurements, only the instructions: /pdfs/dscigfthb.pdf Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Nathan James Dodd

We Replied:

Carol Asked:

Hi. Can the timber be painted eg with a Cuprinol exterior wood paint?

We Replied:

Dear Carol Thank you for your question. Yes, the wood can be painted, although it is already pressure treated as standard. However if you do wish to paint the timber at home to add some colour, then any branded paint (especially Cuprinol) would be suitable as long as it's for exterior wood as you mentioned. I hope that this information helps. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Andy
