Attending Glee, the leading garden and leisure industry show, was a great opportunity for Nathan Dodd to spot trends and anticipate products that will come onto the market in the near future.
Henri Studio have been manufacturing cast stone fountains and ornaments for years, producing world renowned products you’ll find in many gardens.
Due to financial difficulties a few years ago, Henri Studio had to be sold to Stonecasters in the United States, where their head office is based.
They also decided to close down their UK branch leading to the supply of Henri Studio fountains, water features and statues to retailers coming to a halt in this country.
Kelkay then won distribution rights for Henri Studio in the United Kingdom and began to supply retailers once again, but only with a streamlined range of fountains to begin with as opposed to the large range which was previously available from Henri Studio when they had a UK branch.
As the demand for Henri Studio has remained high they have decided to improve the range for 2014 by adding three new fountains to the UK range.
This fountain is similar to the very popular and still available Balancing Act water feature but this new model is slightly smaller to allow for smaller budgets and gardens.
It stands at 80cm in height whereas the Balancing Act stands at 107cm, so there's a 27cm difference in size.
The great thing about the Juggling Act Fountain is that it’s not only supplied with a pump, it also comes with an LED light so that the feature can be seen night or day.
It's self contained too which means that the water will pool in the bottom bowl and continuously be pumped around the water feature, so there's no need to connect to a mains water supply.
The Tall Sunflower Bubbler is very different to other Henri Studio fountains, it has a beautiful sunflower detailed design to its top where the water will spill onto and an LED plume light so you can enjoy your feature at night too.
It stands at 85cm in height and is 40cm in diameter at the widest point.
Again, like the Juggling Act, this fountain is self contained so the same water will circulate. You can keep the water fresh by using a water feature treatment and to keep it safe during winter we have fountain covers available.
This is a large fountain that has been added to the UK range for 2014. It has a large pool at its base, and water will spill out of the top finial, over each tier and into the bottom pool.
This will add the tranquil, magical sound of moving water to any garden and this water feature is a particularly good centrepiece. The Montreux 3 Tier Fountain can be viewed here.
For the first time in a while, Henri have also released garden ornaments, items for which they are rightly famous. It’s been unfortunate that we’ve been unable to see these grand Henri ornaments available to the UK market and it’s a promising sign that they are making a return.
The Lion Pedestal ornaments are sold as a set of two and each set has a right and left side, so they’re perfect for flanking a door or driveway. Made from the same cast stone as the water features, so you can be assured that they’re high quality.
With only a few months' training under her belt, GardenSite's own Flori Bosnigeanu took part in this year's Great Birmingham Run, raising over £500 for the city's Children's Hospital.

To grow the biggest, scariest pumpkin in time for Halloween isn't easy as they take some time to mature and prefer a warm climate. To have the best chance of success Martyn Loach recommends sowing seed indoors during April and then planting out in late May or June.
