With only a few months' training under her belt, GardenSite's own Flori Bosnigeanu took part in this year's Great Birmingham Run, raising over £500 for the city's Children's Hospital.
Glee, the UK's leading garden wholesale buying event, will be returning to the NEC in Birmingham on 14-16 September, and David Coton and the rest of the GardenSite team will be there to source new products to bring you in 2016.
We'll be finding out what is happening in the market place, discovering predicted trends and ordering the best merchandise to offer you at the keenest prices next year.
What's particularly pleasing this year is that GardenSite has been nominated for the 'Best Online Garden Retail Buying Team' in the GLEE 2015 Garden and Leisure Awards.
We're up against some very large players in the garden supplies industry, so even to receive a nomination is marvellous recognition for our buying team.
They work non-stop behind the scenes so that our customers can be offered great products at prices we believe are the best, and it's their skill and tenacity that has been recognised by their peers in the industry.
Exhibitors arrive at the NEC from all parts of the world,so we'll be able to see products from far and wide in the fields of Garden Care, Design & Landscaping, Plants and Garden Leisure.
As the organizers say, innovation and inspirational products lie at the heart of Glee, and there's always a wide selection of merchandise that's not been seen before.
Also included in our schedule will be a series of seminars from respected industry figures, and these will give us even more insight into what our customers want and will be demanding in the new year.
So Glee is definitely a great way to stay ahead the competition and, through our attendance, there is no doubt that we'll be offering you innovative, as well as high quality traditional products, as soon as they appear.

Our garden centre has been part of the local community for over 60 years, so when one of our partners, David Coton, received a request to donate a Christmas tree to a nearby hospice, he had no hesitation in helping them out.
Many people believe that Christmas would not have the same festive feel without the scent of a 'real' Christmas tree. They're naturally fresh, giving off a lovely aroma, and here Martyn Loach gives advice on which ones to buy..
There's a huge selection of Premier Christmas Lights, and it's no wonder why they are market leaders judging by the variety and innovation that's on offer. This is Andy Taylor's guide to their range of top quality lights and decorations.
When purchasing a Christmas tree, you may or may not be aware that you're continuing a centuries old tradition that was enthusiastically adopted by the Victorians. An artificial tree as Andy Taylor explains is just a modern take on this age old practice.
