The beautiful 8 sided Prima Grand Six Summerhouse from Lugarde is built to last. It features stylish, joinery made window and door frames and a decorative moulding under the roof. Optional double glazing is available making the building perfect for year round use.

With it's cavernous 6 metre diameter and 44m thick walls the Prima Grand Six will make a delightful garden retreat and may just give you plenty of extra space for wining, dining or relaxation.

    
  The Prima 3=1 system is a unique system developed by Lugarde that enables the wall sections to be slid into the corner uprights without nails or screws.

These corner uprights are fitted with aluminium on the inside creating a very robust structure.

 

The building is supplied as standard untreated (except for the foundation beams which are pressure treated) and features 2 casement windows PE23 (opening outwards) and a double door PE24. Alternative window styles are available on request.

An adequate base must be constructed for the building using either heavy slabs or concrete.

Roof and Floor Insulation

Depending on how you intend to use your building for you can opt for floor and/or roof insulation. If you intend to use your building as a guest room or office, for example, the insulation is advisable.

Floor insulation with a thickness of 4cm is simple to apply and is laid beneath the wooden floor. The roof insulation consists of plates (also 4cm thick) that are laid between the shingles and the roof boards using long clout head nails (included).

Treatment Option 1: Lugarde Supplied Finish

All Lugarde buildings are delivered UNTREATED AS STANDARD.

You can choose to treat the building yourself using genuine Lugarde supplied treatment (this option) or have the building pre-treated for you with the Lugarde factory finish (see option 2 below). 

To provide optimum protection for your summerhouse / log cabin against the effects of the weather, you must treat the wood as quickly as possible - internally and externally.

If you decide to treat the building yourself it is recommended to treat the wood first of all with Lugarde colourless IMPREGNATING base coat after assembly. Then you can then treat the summerhouse with a Lugarde non-transparent or transparent COLOURED top coat.  Lugarde has developed a system that focuses on quality and care for the environment.

The transparent finishes give a more natural appearance and tend to be a little easier to apply and allow the woodgrain to show through. The non-transparent finished are more like gloss paint to apply and hide the woodgrain completely.

Please refer to the product specification table (near top of page) for a guide as the quantity of treatment you will need to purchase. These figures are a guide only and give an approximation of the amount you will require. If you wish to finish you building with two contrasting colours (as in the main photo) then purchase enough of the main colour to treat the whole building and a lesser quantity of the contrasting colour.

Order the quantity of treatment you require below. It is better to order too much treatment and have it available for future maintenance. Please specify the colour(s) you require in the customer comments box during the check out process or advise us by separate email.

Treatment Option 2: Lugarde Factory Applied Finish

   Alternatively to the above option you can choose to have your building impregnated by Lugarde - this is done with a plunge method (the wood is plunged into a bath of impregnating agent). The wood is then fully protected, including tongue and groove joints and notches.

There is then no need to use impregnating agent . You need to paint your summerhouse or log cabin every 12 to 18 months (for coastal locations more frequently if necessary). Retreating can be done with the same stain or a different colour stain/paint. TIP!! Ensure that there is sufficient clearance/work space around your summerhouse/log cabin in order to (re)treat the wood.

Buy Lugarde summerhouses, simply the best!
Cabins are delivered directly to you from the Lugarde factory in Holland and offloaded using a piggy back forklift truck curb side only. The lorry is a large articulated type and access must be suitable for this size of vehicle.

In the event of missing or damaged parts then we will endeavour to rectify the problem as soon as possible but in some circumstances we may not be able to do so straight away as parts may have to be sent from Holland. We cannot under any circumstances accept responsibility for delay in installation or any costs incurred by you due to faulty or missing parts as this is outside of our control. However we will do our utmost to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Normal delivery is approximately 4-6 weeks from date of order. This however is outside of our control and we cannot guarantee a specific time scale.

Lugarde will contact you directly to arrange the specific day of delivery. If you are unable to be there when the delivery is scheduled then you must arrange for someone else to be there. Buildings cannot be left without a signature.

Lugarde buildings offer many options and some instances modification or other charges may have to be applied that are not detailed in our pricing structure. If this is the case we will contact you to advise and discuss your options.

Cancellation or alteration charges will apply once the building has been acknowledged by Lugarde (after approx. 5 days). A building cannot be cancelled once it has been dispatched. These items are deemed a bespoke product and are manufactured on a one off basis specifically for you.

Lugarde grants a 5-year warranty on manufacturing or construction faults; damage caused by human intervention, animals or natural disasters does not fall under the warranty. Complaints as a result of a poorly laid foundation or faulty assembly, poor maintenance and/or the wrong maintenance materials do not fall under the warranty.

Wood is a unique and natural product and the finish on the boards will vary. Variation will be seen as coarse or fine grain and shades of colour. Such properties are normal in wood and cannot be seen as a defect. They have to be accepted as an unavoidable property of wood.
