Grange are pledged to purchase an increasing proportion of their timber from forests environmentally well managed according to the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Standards. Furthermore, in 2004 all pressure treatment processes were changed to arsenic-free and as from 2006 they switched to Wolman CX8 preservative. They guarantee all pressure impregnated products (such as posts) for a minimum of 10 years against rot. This guarantee also applies to non-pressure impregnated products (such as panels and trellis) that are isolated from the ground by a timber or concrete gravel board.

Stuart Rielly. Asked:

Are you able to quote for gates to suit an opening of 3.900m wide minus suitable posts, so I guess around 3.600 - 3.700m to allow for decent posts?

We Replied:

Dear Stuart Thank you for your question. The widest total width available is 3m. The product is not able to be made any larger I'm afraid. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Nathan James Dodd

emma pike Asked:

Do these driveway gates come with posts?

We Replied:

Dear Emma Thank you for your question. The Fortress Driveway gate does not include posts. We do however sell gateposts separately: /Landscaping/Grange_Timber_Gate_Post_02m_x_236m.htm Kind regards Ellie Goodall

Tony Witchell Asked:

The space I have for my gates is 295cm, would I be right to choose the 270cm gates? How much space should I leave between the middle of the gates and also the gap between gates and posts? I'm obviously trying to calculate the size of the post I need! Your help would be appreciated.

We Replied:

Dear Tony Thank you for your question. We would recommend the following gates: FDG16 – 0.9 X 2.7 M Posts – PO68G FTDG16 – 1.8M X 2.7M Posts– PO98G Unfortunately the posts will make the gates too wide to fit the gap. If the gap can't be widened, you could reduce the size of the posts, bearing in mind that we couldn't accept liability for any damage caused. If you want to talk this through or require any more advice, please contact us via e-mail or phone. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701.
