If you have a Halls greenhouse in a lean-to model then you may opt for the addition of a base plinth for added height and integrity.
By having a base plinth, not only will you benefit from additional height to the overall dimensions of your greenhouse, but it will provide a sturdy, durable frame for it to be installed on top of. Highly advantageous when placing your greenhouse on soft ground such as grass, gravel, or compacted dirt, and just as practical for when installing a greenhouse onto a hardstanding surface such as concrete, slabs, or a patio area.
Buying a Halls lean-to greenhouse base allows you to have the correct size base frame built quickly. Most people choose the pre-formed base for this reason. The bases are available in a variety of size options (chosen below) and can be bought in either the standard galvanized steel silver colour option, or powder coated green, to perfectly match your existing greenhouse frame.

Installing A Base Plinth
Using a Base Plinth on Soft Ground
When using the base plinth on a soft ground area such as grass, gravel, or compacted soil, the base plinth is simply screwed together and then secured into the ground with help of the included corner spikes and two brackets which get bolted to an external wall. The corner spikes can be dug into the ground and compacted in, or dug into the ground and secured with concrete. Then with the use of the included two brackets, the plinth can be bolted to a wall. Once in position and set, your greenhouse can be installed on top, and bolted down to the base plinth for optimal integrity.
Using a Base Plinth on Concrete or Slabs
When using the base plinth on a hard surface such as a concreted or slabbed area, the base plinth can be simply screwed together and then bolted down to the floor area and to the wall. To do so, firstly, the standard corner spikes will need to be removed. Then, you may drill holes through the cill at the bottom of the base plinth frame as and where required, for you to then bolt the plinth down to your hard-standing floor area and to a wall with the included wall anchor brackets. A suitable drill and drill bits will be required for this. Once in position and secured, your greenhouse can be installed on top, and then bolted down to the base plinth for optimal integrity.

Halls lean to greenhouse, good product
Good afternoon I have recently finished installing my lean to Halls greenhouse and
am extremely happy with it once I managed to erecting it correctly.
The only complaint I have is with the instructions which I had to reprint as the originals
that came with the greenhouse we're faded and hard to see what was what. Perhaps a reprint is necessary, otherwise all is great. Thank you
