Can you put soil straight into the planter and then plant honeysuckle, clematis or climbing roses? Is there any drainage?

Dear Jane Thank you for your question. Yes, you can plant straight into this planter. It is pressure treated. Water will drain out of the bottom of the planter through the wood, however you can increase drainage by putting in some gravel or broken pots. We have these planters at the front of our garden centre planted with roses. They just need a feed every few months. I have a small front garden and i wanted to put a planter by the front fence with red shrubs or small trees to form a screen. Would this planter be suitable?

Dear Gabriela Thank you for your question. We use this planter to screen of sections of our garden centre car park. I think they work well as they are a good size and a nice depth so they don't dry out too quickly in the summer. We plant bulbs and shrubs in ours. Just ensure you give the plants a feed regularly. Do you need to use a liner in the planter? If so what type of liner would you suggest?

I've just placed an order for two of these patio planters. I am planning to site them against our garden wall and grow climbers to disguise the wall. Are you able to advise which of your trellis products would go well with these planters?

We would like to place two planters against our garden wall to create raised beds. The area is currently soil so would this planter be suitable or perhaps either the Caledonian planter / Forest Caledonian raised bed?
