Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. There tier planter.

Good solid planter. Wood is rustic and care needs to be taken for splinters when assembling. Looks effect when planted.

Ideal multi level planter

This arrived well in time and robustly strapped together. Once I'd split it all apart and checked the contents the assembly was a breeze. A little bit of jigging about was needed but this didn't detract from how easy it was to put together. Now that it is in place, painted and planted up it has made an ideal multi level feature to what was starting to be a little uninspiring corner plot in the garden. Well pleased with it all around.

my tiered planter for my new veg garden

A sturdy planter - a little harder than anticipated to put together as there were quite a few knots in the wood. Used a battery operated screwdriver and broke one of the bits on it! However, it looks good on the corner of my lawn with strawberries in it and am sure it will last a long time

Laurie Forsyth Asked:

Just bought a Forest Caledonian tiered planter. What materials do I need to construct its timber floor, allowing for drainage?

We Replied:

Hello Laurie, Thank you for your question. We would recommend regular soft wood, with two or three drainage holes. As normal cover these with stones to allow water to drain through easily. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind Regards Zach Nicholson

We Replied:

Dear Erica Thank you for your question. The height of the lowest tier is 300mm (12ins). Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Marsha

Jules Asked:

Would it be easy to construct this without individual section bases enabling the planting of larger plants with deeper root systems?

We Replied:

Dear Jules Thank you for your question. There are no bases with this planter so you can fill them to the floor. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Lauren

Jeff Peill Asked:

Do the big sections all screw together, or are they supposed to be separate? Do the top sections balance on the soil?

We Replied:

Dear Jeff Thank you for your question. The three planter sections on the top sit on top of the main planter body and are screwed down. Each planter section does not have a base, so really they share the same area below which would be filled with compost to the differing levels. If unsure, I would advise you to take a look at the instruction manual, which may help to explain this more clearly. The instructions can be seen here: https://www.gardensite.co.uk/pdfs/assembly-instructions-46aab4df913b920a7761b08fbe416535.pdf I hope that this information helps. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Andy

Debra Asked:

What size bit is needed to drill the pilot holes for the screws?

We Replied:

Dear Debra Thank you for your question. We'd always advise using a drill bit that is slightly smaller than the screw itself. The screws are 5mm therefore we'd recommend a 3 or 4mm drill bit. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Lauren

Simon Ward Asked:

What is the recommended PZ bit for the screws and torque to drill to assemble this bed?

We Replied:

Dear Simon Thank you for your question. The screws on the Caledonian Raised Bed should be driven with a PZ2 bit. The toque setting on combi drills is only active on the screw setting to avoid overtightening when driving screws. The torque setting is inactive when in the drill mode since you cannot have too much torque when drilling. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Lauren
