Description

The Daria Garden Arch by Zest is a notable structure that will add interest and much more to your garden.

Height and structure are essential to garden design and, with the Daria Arch, those qualities can be very effectively combined with added colour and scent by using the trellis to grow climbing plants.

Your arch will then become an ornate decorative feature and can be used as a stand alone highlight or to cover an entrance or path.

And it will be a long term garden enhancement as the timber is pressure treated against rot and carries a 10 year guarantee.

Good sturdy arch

Very pleased with this - the variable width is great as I wanted it to fit into an existing non-standard space where an old arch had finally given way. The sides could be fixed to fit inside the honeysuckle and roses that had been growing over the old arch without needing to measure an exact width, and then put the top on. Very easy to assemble on my own with clear instructions - didn't need a second person. Fixed nicely with some postcrete and it is rock solid.

Daria Arch

Delivered on time and great product, particularly the flexible width. Time will tell whether it’s good for 10 years but in the meantime has created a great feature for the garden gate. The only criticism is that one of the posts had a corner broken off but was able to cover this with a ground peg fixing.

Daria Arch is very good

Good and sturdy arch with lattice sides, easy to assemble, but definitely a two man job. Delivery was prompt and the whole transaction was easy and efficient. Just remains for my vine to find its way to the top of the arch and for the grapes to ripen.

Very sturdy quality and good looking

We're very happy with this arch and consider buying a second one. It is very robust, much prettier than dipped arches and you can adjust the width quite easily. Instead of spikes we used 1no bag of so called PostCrete mix (20kg, ca. 6 pounds). I believe spikes would have made it rather difficult to get the sides fitted so I cannot recommend them (besides being 6 pounds each). The brackets are a bit tricky to screw into the posts as they don't have a proper screwdriver slot (a star, not Philips or a slot), so pre-drilling is advisable. You'll also need to pre-drill all connections with a 4/5mm wood drill bit which isn't a problem and which enables you to amend the positions of all members. We were however not happy with the delivery. We weren't informed when the delivery of this large and - very heavy - product would be (all in all 90-100kg). The delivery man was exceptionally unfriendly, complaining that I didn't help him with carrying the 64kg (!) pack of posts (he didn't ask me to give him a hand). The post should really be packed in pairs, ie under the max load of 35kg per person.

PAUL TURNER Asked:

We have just bought a Daria arch and want to erect it on our lawn. What is the best way to secure it?

We Replied:

Dear Paul Thank you for your question. A metal spike which is made for posts to slot into would be best. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Zach Nicholson

john higgins Asked:

We Replied:

Dear John Thank you for your question. The maximum width available in between the trellis is 1.5 metres. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Andy Hobson

Peter Karl Becher Asked:

Does the height quoted in the product description include the hidden part in the ground? If so, what's the clear height in the centre? Can the height be adjusted?

We Replied:

Dear Peter Thank you for your question. The height will be the overall height (7ft 10ins) of the arch, from the very top to the bottom of the upright. The clear height will depend on how far you put the uprights into the ground (you can use fence spikes to increase clear height as less of the upright needs to go into the ground. https://www.gardensite.co.uk/Landscaping/Forest_fencefast_easyfit_spike_Spike_length_750mm.htm). Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Nathan James Dodd

Use hodgson Asked:

I need an arch that is a maximum of 4 feet between the legs, would the Daria arch be suitable?

We Replied:

Dear Use Hodgson Thank you for your question. I can confirm that the maximum internal width of this arch is 4ft 7ins. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind regards Lauren

klaus Misch Asked:

If I wanted to concrete the posts into the ground how deep should they be and what type of concrete should I buy?

We Replied:

Dear Klaus Thank you for your question. As this arch has trellis side panels, we would only advise concreting in the part of the post length that is below the trellis. Most general hardware stores stock concrete especially formulated for posts, one such branded concrete is called "Metpost" and is commonly available at the larger DIY stores. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind Regards Lauren
