Description
This pond heater is perfect for preventing ice from completely covering your pond.
During the winter months a severe and prolonged frost can cause your pond many problems.
If the entire surface of your pond ices over for more than a few hours, then the supply of oxygen to the water will be reduced and gases within the pond will not be able to escape.
The heater will keep an area free of ice, preventing gases building up and allowing oxygen to get in.
Simply floats on the surface of your pond.

Why is there no plug supplied with this heater? How should a plug be wired?

It is against EU regulations for any pond equipment to be sold with a fitted plug, this item can be wired into a junction box or a standard plug can be fitted. Can the fish bump into this and hurt themselves? I have a Bermuda 150 watt heater, is there a sleeve that will go over the metal rod?
