Wood Stain & Protector

Your cabin is supplied untreated with the exception of the floor bearers (and terrace, if included).
It is essential that the building is treated immediately after construction to preserve the timber and eliminate the risk of rot. 
Finnforest supply and recommend Osmo wood stain and protector a very high quality professional product not readily available in the shops. If you are sourcing your own treatment please ensure that it is of equal quality.

    Underfloor Heating

     

    Imagine a heating system providing you with sufficient heat to warm your toes as well as the as the space around you on a winter's morning. Underfloor heating is economic and controllable at the turn of a dial, an ideal optional extra when purchasing your cabin. The flat ribbon underfloor heating has many features and benefits. It fits on any subfloor and under any floor covering as a primary heat source



    The system is very easy to install only requires a Part P qualified electrician to connect the thermostat. Once installed a suitable covering such as the optional Finnforest laminate flooring or similar is required to cover the heating system.

      Whether you intend to use your cabin as a playroom for the kids or as a secret hideaway for lazy days with your favourite books, our easy to fit insulation in the floor and roof can make your cabin more comfortable all year round. This insulation will reduce heat normally lost through your cabin roof and floor by up to 70%*. The insulation pack contains pine roof cladding boards to cover the insulation and offers a pine finished pitched roof.

    A Finnforest cabin is specifically designed for easy diy erection. If you think it's beyond you however or you simply don't have the time we can help.

    Email us here and we will pass your details on to an independent, carefully selected family run partnership specialising in the erection of log cabins. They will contact you to discuss your requirements and quote you directly. This is a no obligation service and a chat with them will cost you nothing. If you should accept their quote then the contract for this service is between you and them and they will invoice you directly for their services.

    All orders are acknowledged with a receipt of purchase and you will be contacted prior to delivery.

    Delivery will normally be made within 14-28 working days from receipt of your order.
    This can extend however at very busy times so please contact us now if delivery time is critical as lead times can vary on individual units on a daily basis.

     We will not debit your card until the building is ready for delivery.

    Cabins are delivered by the manufacturers. They are offloaded using a Hyab crane or similar and placed as near as possible to where you indicate but vehicles are not permitted to drive on private property. Vehicles are large and you must notify us if access is likely to be an issue. Drivers will offload only.

    In the event of missing or damaged parts then we will endeavour to rectify the problem as soon as possible but in some circumstances we may not be able to do so straight away as parts may have to be manufactured. We cannot under any circumstances accept responsibility for delay in installation or any costs incurred by you due to faulty or missing parts or delayed delivery as this is outside of our control. Any problems relating to the product must be reported within 14 days
    from receipt of delivery. Any claim being made must be supported by
    your receipt of purchase.
