Eden Burford racing green
Excellent value and quality, delivered on time and very well packed. Instructions took a little while to study and we certainly found the download 'hints and tips handbook' off the Eden website extremely useful. In fact we thought it should be included with the main instructions as an essential item. Looks lovely and delighted with it!

Well designed and built
I really wanted to get up and running with this greenhouse as soon as possible as we're coming to the end of the summer so I was pleased with the delivery time and with the detailed instructions on how to put it together. Looks lovely in racing green and I've bought a small heater to warm it over winter. Also like the design with nothing to step over when you go inside. Would recommended buying staging which like the greenhouse is very good quality.
Do clips or rubber strips secure the glazing? Can I schedule a specific delivery date?
We Replied:Dear Gary Thank you for your question. The horticultural glazing is installed by clips throughout, however, toughened glazing makes use of rubber strips as well as bar capping. The rubber strips go on first, then the pane of glass, then the bar capping (long plastic strips), so that the glass panes are sandwiched in between the rubber strips and the outer bar capping which secures the glass in place. Once ready for delivery, the team will contact you to book in a convenient delivery date. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system.. Kind regards Andy
Tuesday 20th, August, 2019is the polycarbonate better than toughened glass? Is it a single layer and transparent or opaque? (So many polycarbonate glazing systems look awful and wet can get between the layers if not sealed.
We Replied:Dear Katy, Thank you for your question. The polycarbonate on this greenhouse range is twin-wall and opaque, being 6mm thick in total. Here is a photo of a Burford greenhouse with polycarbonate glazing so that you can preview what it looks like: https://www.gardensite.co.uk/cdn-cgi/image/width=999/images/database_images/polycarbonate-glazing-burford-greenhouse.-bcb5c071ee0c8f5c1baeed8b13da6cb5_original.jpg In terms of being better or worse than toughened glass, this is very much down to personal preference and which aspects you wish to prioritise more. Toughened glass is better for locations that have a lot of wind and bad weather, as the glass is heavier and so can withstand stronger winds, whereas polycarbonate is lighter and is virtually unbreakable in regards to being hit with children's toys, balls, pet toys, stones etc. Additionally, polycarbonate has slightly better insulation properties due to the twin-wall aspect. But as you have mentioned, it is opaque, and does not look as traditional as clear toughened glass. Both glazing types can be sealed with a silicone gel, similar to what's used around bathtubs and sinks inside the home. This would be an optional measure that you could potentially take for either glazing styles for added weatherproofing. Should you wish to contact us further or to place an order, please call us on 0121 355 7701. Thank you for using our online Q&A system. Kind Regards, Gaby
