Description
The Duramax 8ft x 6ft duramate vinyl plastic shed is a high quality American designed product, it is manufactured in Dubai with a contemporary design in neutral colours that naturally blend into any garden.
These Duramate sheds are constructed with the highest quality vinyl plastic panels, that get secured to an internal, heavy-duty steel frame. The frame supports the overall structure and reinforces the shed making it very durable and giving it its resistance to strong winds and heavy snow. The panels themselves are weather resistant, and will never rust, rot or require seasonal applications of sealants, paint or preservatives, making the shed virtually maintenance free.
This 8ft x 6ft nominal size will fit most sized gardens, providing practical and valuable storage for all of those gardening tools, foldable furniture and any other outdoor accessories. Easy access is through wide double doors that can be additionally padlocked, and these spacious sheds make a perfect hobby room, tool shed or storage space.
All parts are pre-cut, drilled and numbered for ease of assembly. All fixtures and fittings are included as well as a step-by-step illustrated instruction manual. Assembly is simple, clean and safe and can be completed in just a few hours.
Inclusive Foundation Kit
A galvanised steel foundation kit is included with this shed, providing the perfect base. They're easy to assemble before you construct the shed and allow you to either flood out the interior with concrete for a smooth, hard-standing floor inside, or top with timber sheets to create a wooden floor (not included). For maximum condensation reduction, a strong plastic sheet should be placed below the whole base area, underneath the foundation kit to help prevent natural rising damp from the ground.

Delivery Period
Delivery will typically be made within 10 - 15 working days (2 - 3 weeks) but may be extended during busy times of the year. For larger products, the carrier will call and book in a convenient delivery date. Installation Service
Our installation service is applicable to Mainland England, Wales & Southern Scotland including Glasgow and Edinburgh, but not above.
Products ordered with an installation service will first be delivered to your delivery address within the estimated timeframe stated above. Once delivery has been confirmed, the installation team shall then arrange to attend to your property in order to install the structure for you.
The current lead time for installation, following successful delivery is within 20 working days.
Note that this will lead to the product needing to be temporarily stored at your property after it has been delivered and checked over until the date the installation occurs. We recommend the product to be stored in a safe and dry place such as in a garage, shed, or similar during this interlude period.

Vehicles We Use
Items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places it's typically, a 7.5 ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.
Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable and the goods can only be manoeuvred on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions the driver will split the package to assist with manoeuvring of the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery.

Duramax 8 x 5'6"
Daunting at first with all the separate pieces. and multiple bags of screws, and I was having misgivings before we started. The base went down first - getting it level was a nightmare. It took 3 of us to build the shed, I was more in a supervisory, tea making roll and my daughter and grandson did the bulk of the construction. Any issues we had lining up holes for screws etc were down to making sure that the base was absolutley level. we ended up sliding the base around the hardstanding cement , whch fortunately for us hadn't gone totaly rock hard due to the inclemant weather, managing to remove any minor lumps and bumps which were sending the holes out of alignment. But, following the instructions, which were a little confusing when it came to fitting the top edging of the shed we managed to get it up. Overall I would say it took about 7 hours. We did it over two days because it was so cold we were losing feeling in our extremities and more screws went on the floor than in the shed by the end of the day. Fortunately, although cold, there was no wind to blow it all to pieces when left overnight. When it was finished, I laid a tarpaulin over the base fitting and then laid OS3 flooring to finish it off. The end result looks really good and the shed is surprisingly solid. We've put silicone around the fittings as suggested but when the weather isn't so biting I will go and put more round the bottom of the panelss and across the roof joints as an added precaution. Altogether really please with the result

excellent kit, I followed instructions step by step and had few problems. job now done just have to get flooring.
Was daunting to start with as I had no Help but still managed. a 2nd person is a must and in my case I had problems with a few screws at the rear of shed as I only had 6 inches room behind shed to a rigid fence and as i used anchor bolts to secure the foundation kit I was unable to slid the whole unit forward. All in all, VERY SATISFIED.

Takes time and effort to put up but looks good in the end.
The order-to-delivery time was excellent, and the driver was very helpful, called 30 minutes before delivery, and then helped in getting the very heavy boxes into a secure area our end. I would agree with the other reviewer here in that it will take 8-10 hours for 2-3 competent people to construct. One reason for the length of time needed is down to the less-than-clear instructions which means that you will likely have to take some things apart again to turn things around. Another is the fact that the holes do not always line up correctly, or are hidden under plastic coating, making things very fiddly at times, or are extremely difficult to get the screws in at all. I was also short on the screws needed to secure the roof structure which left me on a panicked trip to the local hardware store. The instructions mention an "optional" final step of using silicone around the roof fittings - this for me isn't optional at these fittings were not tight and secure, and misaligned holes meant that some of the fittings didn't go in straight leaving gaps for the rain. The extension kit isn't great. The way it extends the metalwork is poor, sometimes confusing, and hard to align. In hindsight, I wouldn't have had this addition. A lot of time & effort was wasted due to the extension. The foundation kit seems a bit flimsy for the money - quite thin metal. Probably would avoid this if I bought another one. Now that it is all constructed though the shed appears to be solid and secure, and looks ok. Time will tell over the winter on how good it fairs against low temperatures, heavy wind & rain/snow though! It's still way too early to tell if I'd do it all again or pick a different shed though - a wooden shed is significantly easier to put up!

Duramax 8ft x5ft shed
Was told I couldn't have an afternoon delivery. So took time off work. It arrived at 2.30! Also other reviews said that it could be assembled in 3 hours by 1 person. I would suggest that you could only do this if you were an octopus! It took 3 of us approx 8 hours to achieve the finished product. However I am very pleased with the final result.

Can you just provide a bit more detail regarding the floor. I understand you provide a foundation kit but will this not only provide a skeleton grid type base that will need something else on top. I plan to lay a sound concrete base and the whole area is very enclosed, so not at risk from wind etc.
