In use for over a millennium to light the way to Buddhist temples, these lanterns are icons of the Orient and were also used for Shinto shrines and private homes.
For the contemporary garden they only have a decorative role to play, but are true to the original and will enhance both traditional and oriental landscapes.
Inspired by their original function, the Large Straight Barley Lantern has a Hibukuro or fire box, together with a Kasa, the umbrella shape that protects the fire box topped with a finial.
Manufactured using highly durable cast stone, the lantern has been wonderfully crafted by hand and will make a very attractive ornamental piece.

Larger items including statues may take slightly longer as they are made to order. Timeframes may be extended during busy times of the year. For larger products, the carrier will call and book in a convenient delivery date. For other products, a delivery date will be provided by email from the carrier, which will include a link to allow tracking online.
Any cancellation of an order after your item has been crafted may incur in cancellation charges.
Vehicles We Use
Items will be delivered on larger lorries which can get to most places it's typically, a 7.5 ton lorry which is about the size of a dustbin lorry, this will depend on the item that is being delivered and should you have any concerns with restricted access to your property we ask you to contact us prior to placing an order.
Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location as a "curb-side delivery" service. Our drivers will not carry these items inside your home or back garden. When the item is delivered on a pallet, the pallet and packaging are non-returnable and the goods can only be manoeuvred on a flat and level surface (i.e. not a gravel driveway) by a pallet truck. On some occasions, the driver will split the package to assist with the manoeuvring of the item. Once you are happy, we will ask you to check the condition of the goods and sign for the delivery.
Once the delivery has been unloaded from off the driver's van, the customer has 10 minutes in order to unwrap and check the delivery contents for any damages before signing for and accepting a successful delivery. Any damages should be reported to the driver within this time frame, as once the driver has left, any claims for damages may not be successful.

We wanted a medium sized Japanese style lantern to complement a 7 tier pagoda in a garden corner with a large bamboo and three acers. The delivery was very quick, and the delivery man was extremely helpful in leaving it exactly where needed, a big help seeing that it weighs 95 kilos. The effect is exactly what we wanted, and we are delighted with the sales and delivery service.
