Description
The Tetra Active Substrate is a natural product which provides a suitable medium for aquarium plants to grow in. The large surface and porous nature of the clay granules offers several advantages compared to traditional gravels.
Some of the benefits are:
- Reduces organic water pollution and helps cycling process
- Avoids soil compaction
- Benefits fast rooting of plants
- Provides plant roots with nutrients
- Rounded shape of gravel avoids damage to fish
- Suitable for all freshwater aquariums
A 6L bag is suitable for a 60L tank.
Directions for use: Fill your aquarium with a 4cm high layer of this substrate. For even better plant growth, we recommend a 2-4cm layer of Tetra Complete Substrate.
Tip: Although plants absorb through their roots, it's essential that you offer a liquid nutrient so plants can absorb through their leaves as well (if you're sticking with the Tetra brand then use Tetra Plantamin).
